1 /5 S M: EDIT: Thank you to the owner for replying and for taking the time to address the situation and providing your phone number. I truly appreciate that and will return to shop if/when you are in store. :)
Just to clarify, my budget was not under $150. In fact, I was willing to purchase an expensive piece if I believed it would be worth the value. To offer a direct comparison: at Sunnyvale, a simple, plain skirt was priced at over $180. At the Dublin location, I was quoted $280 for a fully embroidered designer set that was significantly more value for a fair price. But the real reason for my review is we waited, asked questions politely, but the staff was completely disengaged, dismissive, and condescending.

The experience was extremely difficult and energy draining. I love supporting local businesses, but the lack of communication, the smirking, and no help after pleading several times almost left me in tears.
I visited this store based on a recommendation from the owner at another location. I had clearly communicated what I was looking for: a lengha for an upscale event, a specific timeline, and a set budget. After showing me some pieces, the owner told me the Sunnyvale location had more options in the style I wanted within my budget and even quoted a fixed price range. She also assured me that I’d find similar or the type of designs I wanted for less than the set I liked at her location. The owner was very pleasant and had a kind demeanor. Despite living very far from Sunnyvale (2 hrs away), we made the long drive solely based on her recommendation.
When we walked in, the staff looked at us but didn’t greet or acknowledge us in any way. After browsing, we picked two pieces and asked for the price, only to be told a number way above what we were expecting. The pieces were extremely simple and not new, yet the price was higher than the more detailed, designer piece I had seen at the original location. We explained that we had just spoken with the owner and that we weren’t willing to pay such a high price for something so basic. The staff member said she would check and be back with us. She never returned.
While we were still waiting (with no updates) for the pricing check, I asked if I could at least try on the set. I had to ask yet another staff member-my third-and she just directed me to a fitting room that was clearly already in use, with someone’s bra and regular clothes inside. I told her, and she just stared at me blankly and said, “I don’t know.” I literally scoffed. It felt like every staff member was just totally out of…disengaged, clueless, and completely unbothered.
We had to ask two more times before another staff member finally said she’d call the owner and get back to us about the pieces I inquired about. We waited a long time and still weren’t updated. Eventually, when we asked again, we were told that the price wouldn’t be lowered-again, without any proactive communication from the staff.
We then asked to see other pieces and were shown just two, with no effort to understand our preferences. When I asked to see sharara pants, the woman walked away without saying anything and started talking to someone else. We approached her again, and she casually said she was “waiting for us” with no indication beforehand. We had to explain all over again what we were looking for, the formality of the event, and our color preferences. Still, she showed us only a couple of very simple pieces that didn’t match what we’d asked for-and then left again.
As we were leaving, the staff just stood there smirking and staring without a word. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. This entire experience was a massive waste of time, energy, and a long drive. The customer service was horrendous-disorganized, unhelpful, and downright dismissive. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone, especially if youre traveling from far away or expect even basic courtesy and respect. I highly recommend folks to do online, customized shopping from stores in India or shop at one of these locations directly with the owner, Varsha.
