1 /5 Rick Sales: I signed up for only the back part of the gym. In the back there were two stair climber machines. When one of the machines had been broke for several weeks I asked the staff member if, since they had not fixed it yet, could I use one of the front machines. He made a quick call up front and told me it wouldn’t be a problem. This went on for a couple visits without a problem. The third time I went up there, only to use the stair climber, the person called the owner of the facility. When they hung up I was told I could no longer be up front and the owner said I would just have to wait my turn. When I turned to leave another staff member said “you think that’s bad you should see what it’s like working here”!
The whole time I was there the staff was always very friendly, apparently it’s the owner that is hard to deal with and obviously cares nothing about taking care of the customers. I paid for a membership to a gym that had two working stairclimbers. When one was broken for several weeks and the owner had the opportunity to make it right by simply letting me use one up front. I was told “the owner said you’ll just have to wait your turn”. Well no I don’t! I went across the street to Anytime Fitness. It’s a much nicer place, working equipment, 24/7 access, private showers and is a few dollars cheaper every month. The funny part is, now that I’m at Anytime Fitness, I see several people have also switched over to this gym as well. I would steer clear of Sonora Sports and Fitness.
