Moves are varied, perfect combo of cardio and resistance, super friendly and helpful trainers, plus you can go to like 5-6 different studios around SD. I prefer to Orange theory or f45, as it is a far more effective workout. I have seen a big difference in my body and strength.

5 /5 Chad Chelebian: This is a really great gym to go to when you want concise hour long workouts that BURN! If you feel lost in the gym or don’t know what to do these classes guide you and you don’t think about it. All you do is workout, it’s really great if you’re trying to find time for the gym or are just lost. Highly recommend.

1 /5 siri gowtham: Most disappointing gym experience ever! They lure you in with an offer of three free classes, but good luck actually booking them — there’s no clear information provided anywhere. The contact number is just for show, as no one ever answers regardless of the time of day. Leaving a voicemail is useless too, since no one calls back. It honestly feels like they don’t want new customers. If that’s not the case, I hope they seriously improve their class sign-up process, especially for first-timers. Even after texting for help, the staff was unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Sam Davis: I wish I would give negative to this gym. Don’t be fooled by the 5-star ratings as all these stars are clearly manipulated by the owner. Read the negative reviews first before wasting your money. I paid $75 for a membership and regret making that mistake. This gym is stressful instead of being relaxed. I have had extremely negative experiences here and cannot recommend this place. The environment has been uncomfortable and unprofessional, and the staff interactions under Joshua Prezner, the owner and CEO of the gym, have created a hostile atmosphere rather than a welcoming one. Joshua Prezner will make the situation even more disappointing.

24 Hour Fitness - San Diego

Valeria Xavier: I wish I could give this gym a -10 but unfortunately I can’t. Equipments are always broken and they don’t get fixed for months! Ladies locker room is a joke with broken faucets and toilets. They barely clean this gym so most of the time it’s disgusting. Absolutely hate it but it’s close to where I live so that’s that. Update on my review. I went back to the gym the very next day after my posting. Kudos to the owner for following up on his quick promise of cleaning up. Much better, thank you!! That being said Ill still keep my fingers crossed on broken equipment...

PB Fitness - San Diego

Lauren Empey: This gym is so incredible! There are multiple indoor/outdoor spaces to work out, where you can see the ocean at the same time! They have a gorgeous group activity room with hardwood floors, and the womens locker room is so luxurious, with a beautiful steam room. The best part is they are super focused on the local community here in PB (Pacific Beach), and do wellness fairs and other local events where you can connected with other healthy-minded people. We are a tight community in PB and love to support local business, and this is such a welcome addition to our fitness community! Thank you Katie and Justin for bringing your vision into such beautiful fruition in PB!!

Mayfield Family: This is the best gym I have ever gone to! I go to afternoon classes and also train with Max. Max is amazing! I have multiple injuries and feel very comfortable with all the exercises. They are challenging but fun! Because they are fun, I can push myself. After not exercising for a long time, I have made fantastic progress and I attribute this to the attention of Max and all the trainers here!!

Liber8Fit Underground - San Diego

Ashley Salinas: This place is much more than a gym. Its a wonderful community. The trainers are great, member are welcoming and friendly. Its a great atmosphere, that is supportive of whatever your goals may be. The work outs are guided classes with a trainer, except Fridays which are a work at your own pace white board style or you can come in and work on whatever you want with a trainer around to help or answer any questions. I love the variety, never repetitive or boring.

VADM Martin Fitness Center - Coronado

Tim Campbell: Very poorly planned and maintained gym. Only one leg press machine and very poorly designed isolation machines. Great place if you only use a treadmill. The male head is also disgusting. Mold on the walls and ceiling, ants EVERYWHERE, half the showers are broken and dirty. Place needs a remodel and new management from what genius designed The Olde Gym at 32nd street.

Locomotion Athletics | The Warehouse - San Diego

Jamie Owens: I started at Locomotion Athletics at the end of 2024 and I am beyond happy with the results so far. I came here wanting to move with intention and have been able to do just that. I had been struggling with tendinitis in both my biceps tendons and the coaches have been incredibly attentive. They are always checking my form, offer modifications, and push me just the right amount to keep progressing safely. The programming is smart and well-structured, and I’ve learned so many new skills while getting stronger (especially in the shoulder region). Every member, no matter their fitness level, is treated with respect and encouragement. The community here is something special, and I’m proud to be part of it!

De Cam: The YMCAs needs more intelligent staff, Just to educate you YMCA you never ever ever ever ever ever put children/teenagers people in their early 20s who have no concept of how to function in the world to answer your phone system This has been going on for too long, If you want people to JOIN your club then the people that answer the phones need to be adults and I mean experienced adults, obviously ideally over the age of 30 and they actually have to be really helpful I spoke to a little BRAT named Elliot She wouldnt help me whatsoever I asked her for an adult to speak to or a manager and she absolutely would not do that,... A wise company would never allow the least experience and the least knowledgeable to manage the phone system, You are turning people OFF, get wise, get the lazy executives off of their butts and actually truly manage this company.
