1 /5 Sam Davis: I wish I would give negative to this gym. Don’t be fooled by the 5-star ratings as all these stars are clearly manipulated by the owner. Read the negative reviews first before wasting your money. I paid $75 for a membership and regret making that mistake. This gym is stressful instead of being relaxed. I have had extremely negative experiences here and cannot recommend this place. The environment has been uncomfortable and unprofessional, and the staff interactions under Joshua Prezner, the owner and CEO of the gym, have created a hostile atmosphere rather than a welcoming one. Joshua Prezner will make the situation even more disappointing.

5 /5 Joel Prescott: I love TruSelf Sporting Club in my neighborhod of Allied Gardens and Del Cerro! From the cold plunge and contrast therapy to an infrared sauna and a spacious outdoor turf training zone. The gym is super clean, modern, and has everything. The gym equipment is top-notch, the vibe is great, and Im always greeted when I walk in. Plus the free Peloton membership is an awesome bonus. Easily the best gym in this part of San Diego!

5 /5 Alex Pulido: Great gym with what you need. Not too crowded and down to earth atmosphere. Josh the manager is consistently friendly and positive which is greatly appreciated! They are on Classpass which is great if you need flexibility.

5 /5 Reb Vinson: Worked out here while visiting San Diego for the weekend and was able to get my regular workout in with no problem! Went early in the morning and wasnt very busy. I never needed to wait for equipment. Nicely stocked gym with a good variety of equipment and plenty of space.

Joe is the prime example of hard work and dedication in regards to reaching your goals and becoming stronger not only physically but mentally too! He has helped me reach my goals and has also helped me when I was going through a hard time outside of the gym! He not only provides advice in regards to fitness but also provides advice and guidance for how to handle lifes hardships. He is a great trainer, and I highly recommend him!! Thank you, Joe, for being there for me! I appreciate you!!!

Ashley Salinas: This place is much more than a gym. Its a wonderful community. The trainers are great, member are welcoming and friendly. Its a great atmosphere, that is supportive of whatever your goals may be. The work outs are guided classes with a trainer, except Fridays which are a work at your own pace white board style or you can come in and work on whatever you want with a trainer around to help or answer any questions. I love the variety, never repetitive or boring.

Tim Campbell: Very poorly planned and maintained gym. Only one leg press machine and very poorly designed isolation machines. Great place if you only use a treadmill. The male head is also disgusting. Mold on the walls and ceiling, ants EVERYWHERE, half the showers are broken and dirty. Place needs a remodel and new management from what genius designed The Olde Gym at 32nd street.

Jamie Owens: I started at Locomotion Athletics at the end of 2024 and I am beyond happy with the results so far. I came here wanting to move with intention and have been able to do just that. I had been struggling with tendinitis in both my biceps tendons and the coaches have been incredibly attentive. They are always checking my form, offer modifications, and push me just the right amount to keep progressing safely. The programming is smart and well-structured, and I’ve learned so many new skills while getting stronger (especially in the shoulder region). Every member, no matter their fitness level, is treated with respect and encouragement. The community here is something special, and I’m proud to be part of it!

De Cam: The YMCAs needs more intelligent staff, Just to educate you YMCA you never ever ever ever ever ever put children/teenagers people in their early 20s who have no concept of how to function in the world to answer your phone system This has been going on for too long, If you want people to JOIN your club then the people that answer the phones need to be adults and I mean experienced adults, obviously ideally over the age of 30 and they actually have to be really helpful I spoke to a little BRAT named Elliot She wouldnt help me whatsoever I asked her for an adult to speak to or a manager and she absolutely would not do that,... A wise company would never allow the least experience and the least knowledgeable to manage the phone system, You are turning people OFF, get wise, get the lazy executives off of their butts and actually truly manage this company.

Mike Gonzalez: If youre there for the pool, cardio, or classes this place is AMAZING. Lots of equipment and its nice. If you are there to lift, NOT GREAT. Small weight room, Ive never been there without having to wait for someone. Go to the City Heights Y and their weight room is literally 5x bigger.

Verna Cortez: I love Hotworx. I come 5-6 days of the week. And take multiple sessions a day! Definitely addicting and beneficial. The staff is welcoming and so helpful. The rewards and monthly incentives are so fun to work towards in your calorie burn. I highly recommend Hotworx, particularly Millenia location.
