    Serena Y: You definitely want to give yourself enough time to look through the museum and the store because its filled with so many amazing rocks and fossils. The dark room in the museum section is so cool. My parents have purchased quite a few pieces of jewelry from Gaumers, and its all beautiful. Seeing the store in person was really a treat. The jewelry is beautiful and reasonably priced. The women who worked there were friendly and attentive as well. I will be making it a point to stop in every time Im in Northern CA. Updated October 2023*- Gaumers is still just as lovely and has added a new room within the museum area, which is a must-see.

I was uncomfortable being without the ring for an extended period of time, so Kelly offered to do the sizing by appointment, and was done in less than two hours! She is so knowledgeable and professional, and clearly enjoys her work. I highly recommend Zavarri Jewels!

    Cindy Saunders: This jeweler is not GIA certified nor does he do repair work in the shop. He did not return an 18 kt gold bracelet shell for me. He is either saccharinly sweet or monstrously mean. I spent over $5000 at this store. In order to retrieve my jewelry, I had to call the non-emergency line of the Eureka Police Department who told me that this is not the first time they have been called about JDJ. Buyer beware!

    Carol Harris: I had my wedding ring resized several years ago. She did an excellent job at a reasonable price. When I dropped it off she pointed out that some of the prongs holding the diamond were lose I am sure I would have lost the marquee diamond soon if she had not repaired them. Just recently my daughter dropped off her great-grandma’s black gold ring to be resized, along with a “J” necklace her dad gave her when she was four. The necklace was very inexpensive but she has had it for almost thirty years. Once again Five Stars on quality workmanship, timely service and at a very reasonable price. If you are considering taking your precious jewelry to be repaired etc. Look no further.Carol Harris

When I came back a different lady that was working that day helped me narrow down to the one ring, sized my finger and made the purchase go smooth. Both women were a joy to work with. Im Absolutely in love with my ring.

My husband and I just went in to get measured for our ring sizes... and left with a loose oval-cut sapphire and plans to make the ring in my head a reality. That really wouldnt have happened if these folks had acted like typical high-end jewelry store salespeople.
