Carol Harris: I had my wedding ring resized several years ago. She did an excellent job at a reasonable price. When I dropped it off she pointed out that some of the prongs holding the diamond were lose I am sure I would have lost the marquee diamond soon if she had not repaired them. Just recently my daughter dropped off her great-grandma’s black gold ring to be resized, along with a “J” necklace her dad gave her when she was four. The necklace was very inexpensive but she has had it for almost thirty years. Once again Five Stars on quality workmanship, timely service and at a very reasonable price. If you are considering taking your precious jewelry to be repaired etc. Look no further.Carol Harris

Breque Hanback: The manager at this location was very friendly and helped me choose a couple rings out. When I came back a different lady that was working that day helped me narrow down to the one ring, sized my finger and made the purchase go smooth. Both women were a joy to work with. Im Absolutely in love with my ring.

Annie B.: This is a beautiful, cozy, no-pressure environment. My husband and I just went in to get measured for our ring sizes... and left with a loose oval-cut sapphire and plans to make the ring in my head a reality. That really wouldnt have happened if these folks had acted like typical high-end jewelry store salespeople.

Nonie Wallace: So two weeks ago I went into Whiplash Jewelers to inquire about their services because I needed a gold banded ring decreased in size, they had quoted me $90 dollars for this service and said it would take 1-3 weeks to be finished. Today 09/12/2025 I went in to pick up my ring and pay the $90 service charge since they had notified me that my ring was ready for pick up. I go into the store, try it on, it fits, I go to pay and then I asked where the excess gold is that they had removed from the ring so that I can take that as well since it was my property that I owned. The woman then told me that I would have to pay an additional $280 dollars for the piece that they had taken out to offset the cost of labor to downsize the ring. (Even though I already paid the $90 service charge and that was the only quote I was given.) I asked the lady if this was listed on their services or policy online since I was never made aware of it and she told me no so I mentioned that I wish I would have been made aware of this prior to having them resize my ring. I then told my partner what had happened and he went in to ask for the excess gold that they wouldn’t give me unless I paid them $280 for it (even though it was my gold) the lady then proceeded to tell my boyfriend that they don’t have any excess gold so he showed her the receipt that stated the amount of gold that was taken out of the ring that they had kept and she then went to tell her coworker that I sent my man in to get the itsy bitsy tiny piece of gold and tossed it over the counter to him. Mind you she was very rude in the initial interaction and the closing interaction. I do not recommend this place. They seem very shady and unfriendly.

Laura Requadt: Beautiful jewelry, exceptionally friendly owners and clerks, who provide help without hovering. Even though we missed the tour of the whole operation, they still showed the coloring process. I was pleasantly surprised to find pieces I loved in my fairly low price range.
Adore and Joy LLC - Fortuna
Morgan: As an event coordinator: I had Adore and Joy join our stores third anniversary party and she was wonderful! Professional, showed up on time, communicative, organized, she even took great photos/videos of the event and made sure to tag us on IG. As a customer: I got an ankle bracelet and she had a great selection of chains. Again, she was very professional, had all the supplies she needed, checked her work after she was finished, and I love my new jewelry. 10/10 I highly recommend.
Abraxas Jewelry and Leather - Ferndale
Jackie Tran: The lady was the sweetest, she explained all of the prices very well. The store has a wide range of jewelry, hats, and adorable items. I got a few mushrooms from there.

Humboldt Legacy Jewelers - Formerly Bartows Jewelers - Fortuna
Veronica Walin: When my diamond popped out of my vintage engagement Bartows fixed it in a very timely manner and cleaned it up so pretty it looked like I bought it brand new out of the store.I was very please with their service and recommend them for your jewelry needs. They even do custom orders.
    Ferndale Jewelers - Fortuna
Rachel: I came in with my mother’s engagement ring to be appraised and her wedding band to be reset and resized for myself to wear. Upon entering I could hear a woman on the phone, and from the tone of voice she was using I could already tell she was not happy. After inquiring about appraisals she explained that she was just so busy that she couldn’t help me. She was short, rude, and uninterested in my business. “Is it something you found?” She asked me irritatedly. I was appalled. No it was my dead mother’s priceless possession, and I will not be bringing my paying business back to this store. I understand you are busy and it’s near the holidays. It is not an excuse to be plain rude to someone who might want to spend money in your business. I would have gladly returned at another, more convenient time after the holiday. The woman I encountered needs additional employees to handle customer service or some sensitivity training for herself. Update: Abraxas Jewelry in the actual town of Ferndale were absolutely lovely to do business with. Definitely recommend them if you are looking to shop local.
