State Farm - Crescent City Twyla Coopman: We were told that we had homeowners insurance, paid for it and walked out without a policy number. A few days later, we were notified by the underwriters we were being cancelled because of 2 claims. Now we are really scrambling because of false assurance. Our insurance is also in an escrow account to be paid. Now even our lenders cant even tell us what our payment is until this is cleared. Thanks for the nightmare. Heads up, make sure the underwriters say you have coverage before you cancel, DONT go by what that girl in the office says. This is lasting months.
