Crunch Fitness - Burbank - Burbank
M Justin: This is a good location! Easy parking, lots of well maintained equipment, nice and clean locker rooms and shower areas, and sauna. The staff was very helpful! Id give it 4 stars, but the last star is more so due to Crunchs company, which Ill explain below. If youre a non-resident visiting, and you have the top tier membership that allows you to go to multiple locations, PLEASE NOTE that this does not apply to this location. I signed up in Florida, and upgraded before leaving, and I made sure to ask if Id be able to go to out of state locations with no issues. I was told I would. Now when I got to Crunch, I was given some grace, and the first day pass was free since Im still a member. I was told it would be $10 a day after that. Its $25/day pass if you arent a member at all. I wish Crunch would communicate that in their training of employees so that ppl arent blindsided when they upgrade and try to go to Cali locations.
High Voltage Fitness - Burbank
Peter Hosharian: I have to say that among the three CrossFit gyms Ive been a part of over the last 11 years, High Voltage is by far the best.  The service, care, professionalism, and camaraderie are second to none and I would highly recommend High Voltage, as I always do, to anyone seeking to improve and enhance their physical and mental conditioning.
EverFit - Burbank
EverFit
Tony A: First off, I want to say EverFit is a solid gym — the atmosphere, staff, and overall equipment selection make it a great place to train. That said, I believe there’s an opportunity to take it from good to great by upgrading some of the lower body equipment. The current leg press has definitely seen better days. The locking mechanism feels a bit unstable, which can be a safety concern and impacts overall user experience. Next the Hack Squat Machine. The current setup puts users in an awkward, seated squat position that doesn’t feel natural or effective. It limits proper range of motion and doesnt align well with proper squatting mechanics. A Pendulum Hack Squat would be a major improvement. It’s much more joint-friendly, allows for a natural movement pattern, and provides excellent quad and glute activation. (Something like the Arsenal strength one) Adding a reverse hyper would be a phenomenal addition. It’s one of the best tools for strengthening the posterior chain while also promoting spinal decompression and injury prevention — something both athletes and general gym-goers would benefit from. (Roguehas a good one just not the Portable one) These updates would not only enhance the training experience but also set EverFit apart as a gym that truly supports complete, functional strength training. Thanks for creating a great space to train. I hope you’ll consider these suggestions to make it even better.
Fitmix Studio - Los Angeles
Rebecca Rodriguez: Cute little spot that has Pilates classes and what looks like cardio classes. There’s are ample reformers and even treadmills lined along the back wall. I’m not sure what other classes they have. Parking is lot parking super easy. There’s a bunch of little stores nearby in case you have the munchies after. Bathroom is clean and the area for bag storage is also clean. There’s a water fountain but no water bottles to sell or cups. It’s a cute spot if you live nearby and want your Pilates or cardio fix. They don’t have bounce boards from what I can tell. If you’re in the area it’s worth taking a class. Def recommend.
Tylers Gym - Burbank
Tri Dao: After 3 years of not working out, got back into the gym. I wanted to ease back into the routine to prevent injury and build skills. It has been 6 months, and the progress has been great. Tyler did a great initial assessment and created a plan. Ive mixed 1 on 1 sessions with group classes, and both have been great. The personal sessions allow for fine tuning my form and focus on troubling areas. Then I use the group classes to maintain momentum and build strength. Tyler is a great trainer. Keeps me motivated, maintains detailed notes to track progress, is mindful about my body mechanics, and doesnt push past my comfort zone. Hes made workouts fun, and I look forward to what is new at each session.
Blink Fitness Burbank - Burbank
Kyle Duarte: Gym is well stocked, especially with a nice variety of free weights and dumbbell increments. As others mentioned, the bathrooms could use some maintenance. I found the music to be way too loud, so much that I had trouble talking with others.
Alumni Gym Fitness Center - Los Angeles
DiscipleofM: Has power racks
Latria Pilates - Salinas
Curves - Prunedale
Celeste Alfino: Very Clean, and welcoming. Workout is 30 minutes. Very easy to fit into your daily schedule. Strength training circuit helps build muscle and strength. Great for aging gracefully and keep the bone density and strength needed.
COR Pilates - Salinas
Coby Parker: 5 stars! Corinne’s expertise in Pilates is unmatched. She has a deep understanding of anatomy and movement, and she personalizes each session to meet your needs. Her cues are clear, her energy is motivating, and the results speak for themselves. I’ve seen major improvements in my core strength and overall mobility. I love the small class size it allows her to watch each of us closely & make adjustments as needed. I highly recommend Corinne to anyone looking to elevate their Pilates practice.
