I did have a little body issue today and did not feel I could run so I walked the incline; I still had an awesome workout. I think this is a great workout for some of our injured runners and those others that want to get a great session without running...check it out! You will not be disappointed, I promise ;)

    Ashley Arroyo: Home away from home. Gym has 24/7 access which is my favorite feature, can come in anytime, stay as late as I want and not have to worry about getting harassed or bothered. CrossFit side of the gym is amazing if you like working out in a group/coach setting, workouts are fun and challenging an added bonus is working out people of all sorts of levels. Other side is the more solo go at your own pace, have access to weightlifting platform along with a bunch of free weights & lots of other fun gym equipment. Will never go back to a globo gym setting again. This environment is safe and friendly, you won’t get harassed or bothered but also have the option to be fun and engaging and meet great people.

    Erin Laird: Dropped in this morning and had a great experience. Workout included some clean pull drills and a classic descending rep couplet of deadlifts and TTB. The coach was knowledgeable and friendly and provided plenty of scales. The members were all so nice and made a point of taking to me and making me feel welcome. Would definitely drop in again!

    Inessa Stysis: This gym is seriously mismanaged. I’ve been here for about 15 minutes now and there’s been no one at the front desk this whole time. The trash cans are overflowing with paper towels. The spray bottles are frequently empty. People walk around without their shirts on. People come here to dig through the trash (which I have empathy for anyone that needs to do so) but they simultaneously work out and touch gym equipment. I’ve seen someone vaping in between sets. I’ve seen two people get into a physical fight. Don’t look up at the rafters or you’ll see years of accumulated dust. There’s broken sections of mirror that are not being fixed. With how crowded this place usually is, you’d think they could afford to upgrade the equipment that is rickety and rusted over. It’s not clean either. You’ll see hair balls on the ground, cobwebs in the corners and litter throughout. But upstairs does have a nice view albeit the glass is filmy and dusty.

    Zara Malik: Basecamp is seriously one of my favorite places to work out. The energy is always amazing and I love how it gives me a break from the mental load of the day. Its a fun and challenging workout that always leaves me feeling better (physically and mentally)! All the instructors are great, but I have to give a shoutout to Matt hes super helpful and always checks to make sure my form is on point. If youre dealing with an injury or need modifications, theyll work with you and adjust things so you can still get a solid workout. Also, the front desk crew is the amazing as well especially Natalie, Chris and Rebecca. They really make the space feel like a little community. I highly recommend checking it out if youre looking for a place thats motivating, supportive and actually fun.

    Nathan Woo: As a trainer, I find it a great space to rent, and the owner is very cool guy, and always easy to talk to. One thing that stands out most about the owner of this facility, is that he is very empathetic to people with different backgrounds. Overall, my experience at the facility as a trainer is great.

    Tina Yang: This is IT--I have found my absolute gym place. & as long as Clementine, Lizzy, Kim and Mary are here, so will I be. (I keep saying this in person too, BTW!!) After decades of joining corporate run gyms one after another; male trainers shaming me for being big or forcing me on starvation diets and grueling a la The Biggest Loser cult; my whole life being fat shamed and told I "wasnt strong enough", to find a place like RCB is an absolute MIRACLE. I need WOMEN, STRONG, EMPATHETIC WOMEN like these to uplift me, to truly help me reach my goals of health! I appreciate Clementine for being the first weightlifter to recognize that I absolutely LOVELOVELOVE lifting, and to help me stay on track! Huge gratitude for just getting stronger and stronger in just these past months for twice a week private sessions with both Clementine and Lizzy. Ive gained balance in my form, strength, and my GP is absolutely over the moon with my progress! (Last year he diagnosed me with diabetes, which runs in my genetics.) In addition, I can also tell how great the group classes are as well; everyone open, friendly, goal focused and driven. This type of community, inclusive as well as goal oriented, inspires greatness. I LOVE the wide variety of classes too, and I can tell folks do well when they are at similar levels working out with instructors they respect, admire and trust. (That Lizzy runs nutritional seminars is a BIG bonus! SO incredibly helpful for me personally!) I cant wait to be back for my next lift! See yall soon at RCB!

    Kiana Mameghani: I’ve been struggling to find a workout class that I enjoy and I’m so happy that I found SPENGA because I now can get a really good workout and stay consistent! The 20 minutes of spin, strength & then ending with Yoga is what intrigued me at first because I get to try 3 different classes in one and the workouts go by fast that you’re done before you know it. Within those 20 minutes you’re really put to work so don’t let the shorter increments fool you! The instructors are also what makes the classes enjoyable. They are fun, nice, energetic & guide you through your movements. I recommend for everyone to try SPENGA out if you’re looking for a good workout and some motivation!

    W Taps: Was looking for a new gym in Pasadena, tried some hit classes, equinox etc. wanted something new and wanted a gym that offered more. Found Coach Wills gym Strong Sports Gym on Colorado and Mentor. Will is very passionate about training and boxing. Has an extensive knowledge of training and boxing, cycling. The gym is clean and well equipped for all your gym my needs. Best part it’s not overcrowded and you can get one one training or have questions answered by Will. If you want to train efficiently and a new way. Most def check out Strong Sports Gym.

    Karlo Manalo: I have been a longtime member of Fitness 19 Gym located at the Eagle Rock Plaza location. I also have been attending Debbie Brown’s Bodyworks classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, which helped me tremendously in losing weight and staying in shape while having fun doing it. While it seemed intimidating at first, Debbie is great with reminding her class attendees to listen to their bodies and perform her routine exercises at the levels (low or high) that worked best for them. Debbie also has given me wonderful advices in proper stretches and warmups when I’m experiencing muscle fatigue as well as correct techniques when performing some of her routine exercises in order to execute them safely and with best possible gains and results. I also enjoyed and have benefitted from her kickboxing classes mixed with boot camp, which unfortunately was discontinued mid this year. Debbie is an awesome trainer, and I hope to continue attending her classes for years to come!!! Also, I want to mention Giovanni Juarez’ Zumba classes on weekdays and Saturdays, which I also enjoyed attending and helped with my fitness goals! Gio is also a great trainer!
