5 /5 Denise Vo: I just moved up from LA and have been to a bunch of Barry’s locations before, but Palo Alto really stands out. Barry’s is the original high-intensity interval workout—combining running and weights to tone muscle and maximize fat loss—and this studio delivers on that every time.
I usually take Noah’s classes—he’s consistent, motivating, and knows how to push you while keeping the energy high. Matt’s classes are just as strong—he’s got that mix of humor and accountability that makes the tough lifts feel doable, and he really connects with people in the room. Between the two of them, you get the best of both worlds: serious training with a personal touch.
The entire staff here makes the experience even better—super welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely helpful. Out of all the Barry’s I’ve tried, Palo Alto nails that balance of community and challenge, and has quickly become my go-to spot.
