anny I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Cynthia for a long time and her nail technique is one of the best in LA. My nails are always done to perfection and I am always satisfied. For example, the attention to details, listening to my preferences and offering her expert advice (she can do any crazy idea you have), and going the extra mile for me. I leave with the cutest nails every time and I cannot recommend Cynthia enough! Note: her studio is spotless. she follows the highest hygiene standards, which is very important to me.

Paula Lim If youre looking to get aesthetically pleasing nails, Cynthias your girl! I have gone to her many times (even though I live far AF). I have always been so happy with how my nails came out and have gotten so many compliments on them! Sometimes I want my nails to look a certain way, but Cynthia always gives great suggestions. It always amazes me when my nails come out better than expected. Cynthia has such an eye for creativity and I wouldnt trust my nails with anyone else.

Laura Nguyen Cynthia just understands my soft pastel girl aesthetic! I can trust her vision if I bring an idea like picnic or starlight theme, I know I’ll love it when it’s all said and done. She’s so detailed and has so many options of glitters and jewels to choose from. It gives you the creative freedom to go all in on the design. She’s been doing this many years, knows her products and the right techniques, my nails still look great when I come back to get them changed. Jenna Lee Just moved from the east coast and I was looking for a nail salon with Korean gel services. Leah is the owner and the nail artist. Shes really accommodating and works with your schedule. She also has a lot of color options and design options. I have been enjoying her nail designs and cat eye designs. She is a perfectionist and I never had any issues with the gel for weeks. The salon is behind in the back of freya hair salon and it is so clean!

Also, As someone who has been getting their nails done for years across the greater LA area, I can confidently say that Byoung stands out from the rest. Many salons cut corners at the expense of their customers, but not here. They do the extra layers and costs to make your nails stronger and healthier. I recently came in with a horrifically broken nail (courtesy of another salon I visited over the holidays), and Vivian worked absolute magic. She repaired it with such precision, care, and attention to detail--it was like it had never been broken in the first place. Vivian is the only nail artist Ive worked with who I trust completely to bring any design idea to life flawlessly. Ive done dip, hard gel, regular manicures and even pedicure here. TGirl Kacy (Kacy TGirl) Byoung in DTLA is an open space with good light. Very clean. Within a few minutes of my appointment time, I was seated in a neat massage chair with the controls at your fingertips. Jimmy gave me a gel extend manicure while his wife Emily gave me a gel pedicure. The red I chose from the "Billionaire" book reminded me of Ferrari red. Very happy with my lovely nails and the good price. I parked down the block in a structure, but for my next visit I noticed that there are even closer lots. Highly recommend this new salon.

I’ve visited more than dozens of nail shops in LA, popular ones in Beverly hills and West Hollywood too but they often hurt my skin and I’d get tiny scars around my nails. They communicated pricing very clearly in the beginning and worked with my choice of nail colors and stickers. Tyra Hall First time getting nails done since moving to La. Na Na did sooo good in my nails she is so sweet and attentive. I got a gel manicure with gel overlay. Excited to see how long they hold up and I will be back. The nail salon is really nice and the staff is too! Which is hard to find in La. Utensils were clean and they use disposable packs.

Haley Pratt I recently started going to Ness after moving to LA and being so tired of how salons take care of my nails. They were always breaking, chipping and getting weaker every visit. Id been thinking about switching to Russian manicures for a while but back home no one really offered them. When I moved here and found Ness I knew I made the right decision. My nails were short and broken when I went to my first appointment and now after my third appointment with Ness my nails are stronger than theyve been in years and finally keeping their length. I could go on and on but you wont regret ditching the busy salons looking to rush your service, and instead coming to Ness who will take her time taking care of your nails and making sure you leave happy. *first photo is after my most recent appointment and second photo is right before my first one!

Pokuaa Enin Anastasia is amazing. She’s very friendly and puts you right at ease. Most importantly, she takes pride in her work and does an amazing job: she shapes my nails beautifully, the gel is never bubbly or uneven, and there’s no pain ever - even with cuticle removal. My nails were very weak and damaged when I went to her and by my second visit, they were noticeably stronger and longer. She uses great products, she’s so sweet, and she takes the time to explain things to you if you’re curious. I can’t say enough good things about this woman or her work. I’m including a photo of my current nails that are about 2.5-3 weeks old. No chips. Beautifully shaped.

# Ismoiliy I visited Luchic Nails Bar on Melrose again today for a manicure, and it was another amazing experience! Nina, who had previously done my gel manicure that lasted an entire month, was absolutely fantastic once again. She’s incredibly skilled, meticulous, and works so quickly while still delivering perfection. I truly appreciate how clean, quiet, and polite she is—it makes the experience so relaxing. A special shoutout to the beautiful girl at the front desk, who was extremely nice and attentive from the moment I walked in. Her warm and friendly demeanor made me feel instantly welcome. Overall, I’m beyond happy with my visit. The service is consistently top-notch, and the salon atmosphere is always chic and inviting. If you’re looking for impeccable nail care and wonderful customer service, I can’t recommend Luchic Nails Bar enough!

Kallie Dorland The staff was friendly but you’re basically just paying for the nail polish. My legs/feet weren’t scrubbed or rubbed during my pedicure and they didn’t manicure my cuticles at all. The brand new gel manicure looked like it had already grown out for 2 weeks and when I went to a different salon to get them redone I found a dent in my nail under the gel. Do not recommend.

Lana was my technician and my treatment included removing my previous hard gel extensions, a detailed Russian manicure, Gel-X extensions, and finding the perfect nail color by combining two shades (!) She understood what I wanted and was so precise and careful with everything she did. I was so happy with the results that I ended up booking a pedicure for the following week, even though I hadn’t planned to. The pedicure included gel removal, a Russian pedicure, and gel polish, perfect again. The lovely receptionist, Victoria helps with translations if needed, does her best to accommodate last-minute bookings, and is always clear about the services and pricing. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Lorelei Rubik Got a gel manicure on January 10, a week and a half later my polish started to peel off. This is a $30 manicure for $75. The polish was pretty but the longevity isn’t, I won’t be back. In reply to their response, it was four nails (two hands in my photos) and I currently have a manicure from another place that’s three weeks old and hasn’t peeled. I’ve had multiple gel manicures last this long without the issues I had here that happened so fast. It’s such a hassle to park over there too so I’m not really interested in coming back after this.

There were several spaces available in the lot even on a Saturday afternoon. Perfect place for a no-frills, friendly pedi/mani.

Georgia G I wish I had a “before” photo so you could see what a hot mess my nails were when I came in. This was my first manicure since the pandemic began and what a treat. The woman who did my nails didn’t rush and paid such attention to detail. She cleaned up my cuticles and shaped my nails the way I like and my gel manicure is flawless. There are clear plexiglass barriers at each station and everyone was masked, so I am glad they are keeping their employees safe. Huge selection of colors, parking lot, they accept debit cards, and they’re playing calming classical music with a tv permanently set to a naturescapes channel? My new favorite nail salon.

Lo noffert I was very excited to try this place because it is close to where I live and they have great reviews but I left really disappointed. I got a dip manicure and it ended up looking so messy. There was cured dip powder all over my fingers and under my nails. I spent a lot of time that night trying to clean it all up. I also watched her notice a few imperfections and instead of fixing them she just left them. The tips weren’t all filed evenly so I also had to spend some time at home evening them out because they looked like there was chips taken out. I’ve gotten plenty of dip manicures so I know how it’s supposed to look in the end. Overall my nails look just okay which is not what I want when spending $65 plus a tip.

Julia Sinelnikova Danielle is an absolute acrylic and gel genius for artistic, pointy, or 3D nails. She is sweet to talk to and also the fastest nail tech I’ve ever had for the level of detail she does. The pricing is worth it. A lot of salons have varied pricing but similar level skills on hand… this place goes above and beyond. Perfect environment with tea, coffee, and snacks as well. They decorate for every holiday.

She’s a perfectionist with the cuticles, and I appreciate that so much because mine get dry and visible after a while. I don’t do anything too hip. I’m just not capable of pulling it off. But she did a modern French tip gel manicure with red on the tip and a nude base and amazing! I got complimented quite a bit. I made sure to refer them to Emily since she’s the rhyme and reason behind the sweet nails. Yesterday I went pink and she did this amazing hibiscus design. So. Cute!

J P Ok this place is a vibe. As soon as you walk in you feel at peace not rushed and not to mention the place is cute. They listen to what youre asking for rather than doing nails their way. I hate when techs want to do their styles at other salons and dont listen to the customer, not at this place they get it, they understand the meaning of customer service! I just moved to DTLA and have not had a good experience with other places until today, im so glad i found this salon. They did a really great job. Im very simple and like the natural look, they did exactly that. I was so happy. Now, it was a little pricey for a classic pedi (regular no gel) and fills, I normally pay $80 - $90, but honestly I didnt mind because I was happy with the results. Jermaine See My friend recommended this nail place and I couldn’t be happier with my wedding nails. My nail tech was incredibly patient and really took the time to understand the exact look I wanted. She paid attention to every detail, making sure my nails looked just right and matched my vision perfectly. I am super appreciative of her! This is nail gel x.

Miaa Jane I went to this location once and was shocked with the service being so well I was offered water and snacks, my nails turned out great and this was such a great experience. My second attempt at this location and my nails turned out nice I just didn’t feel like I did the first time, not being offered water meanwhile I watched every other person get asked would they like water, my pedicure was $63 which turned out to be $90 because they charge $17 for gel and $10 for French tip. I am not one to complain about the price because if I like the service enough I’ll come back. My gel ex was $125 and I tipped $20 which brings my total to $235. I wish my experience was more similar to my first because I would definitely return.

Jeong Yoon Seong (Kaylie) This is ridiculous. Its week three (got my nails from travis), and all my gelx are gone. Gel x are supposed to last you for weeks! They were peeling off (week 2 photos) so I even went in for a fix paying extra 15 buxks and it did not stay. This is the quickest I had gelx fell out. Truly unbelievable! And I just called them and they said there’s nothing they can do! I am literally never coming back. Stay away!!!

Chandler Hodges I’ve been here twice. The first time was just okay but three of my nails broke within 2 days. I went again yesterday. I had Kendall. She was really rough and actually “skinned” my fingers on multiple nails with the drill machine. I bled once and she said nothing about it. My nails are WAY shorter than I asked for and the polish has already started chipping on the tips because she only did one layer of color. Mind you, I paid $110 for this because she said it was “medium” nail art. The brushes were dirty and utensils not sanitized on her cart. I wish I would have stopped the service but I was in a hurry. I would reccomend finding a different spot. Also looks like one of my fingers is getting infected

tiange zhang Yesterday I was real disappointed by the service. I walk to the shop, decide to do Medicare and a pedicure at the same time. There is a girl and a man who served me, they really catching the time the gel is not even, and they hurt my finger. It was bleeding because they’re doing too harsh. I feel painful, and that was absolutely bad experience. I feel fine at the beginning. I saw just like a cut. They tried to gave me the cream to stop bleeding. And I think that was OK and they tried to give me discount. I was not really happy after I go home. I find out that my fingers and the other toe fingers are broken too. I’m so angry. I tried to call the front desk to ask for a refund, but they refuse to give me a refund, and they talk about it really busy at the store so they have to text me and explain to me.:I only can get 10% off next time I come to the store, but do you think I really gonna come back because your service and discount????? I was really disappointed because I saw it supposed to be professional, and I don’t think you should visit, even though they reopen a new one at the block. I won’t think to come here again and I even tipped them. That was hilarious. One star for sure.

Katrina Kroetch This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, let me start by saying that I was 30 minutes late due to traffic and I felt really bad… I tried to reschedule when I knew I was going to be late but they waited for me and we’re very kind and gracious about it. When I arrived Chloe was smiling and nice and she didn’t rush the manicure at all or in anyway even though I was late which is excellent customer service and very kind. It was my first time having nail art done so I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted and I wasn’t very organized in my request and she was patient and helping me pick what to choose and on which finger to put it on. She gave me options of drawing it on for a little more money or using stickers for a little bit less and there was different options and she help me design it from the photos I brought in. At the end of the day I think her designs looked almost to the photos and she did a really good job. I was really impressed with how kind they were to me even though Iwas in the wrong and late. If they are this kind of people that are late I can’t even imagine how nice they are when people are on time. The designs look amazing and she even massage my hands with lotion and put cuticle oil and did all of the things that made it feel fancy and luxurious and the art looks absolutely amazing. The woman next to me getting her nails done at the time said she comes all the time and it’s her favorite place. I can tell that I’m going to be back too. It was $135 for the nails and total was $200 cause I tipped for her being so kind when I was late and doing such great detail work.

But they were kind about the whole experience. They had a lot of nice colors. Since I rarely get my nails done it was a very relaxing experience. I wanted a plain and low key color.

Got acrylics for the first time in years — I was nervous as fake nails can easily look so messy and tacky but I’m thrilled with the result. The nail tech was so intentional with each step, making sure everything was well done before moving on to the next. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and I’ve already gotten so many compliments on how good and natural they look. Everyone at the salon is so helpful and communicative too. Price is rlly fair too! Wonderful experience and will be back!
