God Is the answer Best haircut ever. Walked in.. busy doing a fade on a little guy, watching her finish up was amazing. Perfect. My haircut turned out so cute. Summer cut. She also did a Beard trim and cut Wow This is a hidden gem off 5th Street.

Jayden Woodard One of the best haircuts that Ive ever gotten, just in time for my engagement pictures! I was afraid to cut my about 2 feet of hair, but Munwela did an amazing job. She does an excellent tapered fade, amazing customer service, and she is incredibly friendly. This is my new go-to place in all of California to get my hair cut! Fiancé loves it too, which is always a huge plus.

Jeremy Rasmussen I love this barber shop. I walked by here one day and asked if I could get a cut. She said no problem and I have been going back ever since. She is quick and always inviting when you go in. I try to set an appointment but sometimes I just stop in and she will get me right in. Her skin fade hair cuts are well priced and you will feel like a new man when you leave everytime!

Stephan St. Claire-Méfret Great barber. Well skilled. Listens and works well with people. Clean . Nice atmosphere. Ge your high and tight. A local thats true to Humboldt. Best haircut before and after pandemic. She was kind enough to stay late for me. Shes the best you can get this far north of San Francisco.

Maxwell Soeth Consistent hours, consistent cut and still at a low price. Rocky takes his time no matter how busy he is. I only wish i would have found him 7 years ago when I moved here. Best barber in Humboldt and Ive tried many of them!

Jack Walsh Rocky is a great barber and overall great guy. Ive been getting my hair cut here for awhile, but I especially appreciated him allowing me to stop by with my young Bassethound. Thats not to say this is a dog friendly establishment, I dont want to sow doggie chaos at his little shop, but I appreciate him putting up with her for the duration of my cut! If youre like me and appreciate experience and a good personality, I suggest going to Rocky and help him be assured a comfortable future retirement.

T Rocky saw me first thing in the morning, I am pleased he is open so early because I am a busy man. He was pleasant, kind, and I’ve never had someone do such a thorough job. It is no surprise he has been in business for over 50 years. Highly recommend!

Salvadore Souza Great haircut at a great price. He takes his time & has been cutting hair there for years! There are a lot of older men who get there haircut there, so I was a little worried he was gunna give me an "old style" cut, (Im 25) but he game me one of the best cuts Ive ever had. Hes great to talk to too, hes a cool guy. I was new to Humboldt and went everywhere trying to find a good haircut, now I finally found rockys and I havent been anywhere since. 5/5

Alec Lulla A great place to get a haircut and let time float back a little. Rocky is a cool guy and its always pretty packed. He takes his time with every customer (so dont expect a 15 minute visit) but the experience is well worth the time.

sage Vivian is great! I showed her some photos and explained what I wanted and she gave me a lovely haircut in 20 minutes for $25. Highly recommend!

Anthony Jones Vivian is more than just a hair stylist. She can really do anything you want. And She is a wonderful part of the community. Talking with her during my appointments is a memory Ill never forget.

Roberto Vivian is very warm and friendly. She gets around quite well for a person over 90 years old. I have had her cut my hair on and off over the last 20 years and I have never been disappointed. I take my children here for haircuts and she is good with them. Her rates are very reasonable, I highly recommend this place. She has another guy there cutting hair that doesnt seem to get too much business as Vivian is the main attraction. Hopefully this other guy can get some business too. Last but certainly not least, she works quickly, I am usually amazed at how quickly we get out of there with three haircuts. Enjoy!

Carrie Sams This was my first visit to House of Nice, although Rachel had cut my hair several times in a different salon. She did a beautiful job on my cut and color today. I love the new digs. Kitschy cool! I made my next appointment, which says a lot! I highly recommend this salon.

Meredith Baku House of Nice has a great vibe and cool plants everywhere! Rachel does an amazing job even when she has to fix my hair after my mediocre at home self-haircuts. She’s easy to schedule with and fun to talk to. 10/10 highly recommend.

Lexie Perez I love my haircut from Rachel! Also, the shop is so inviting, I just want to curl up with a cup of coffee and spend an afternoon hanging out next to all the plants! I heartily recommend this salon.

Jada Calypso Brotman My hair has changed since I was pregnant, and I have been feeling insecure about my looks. Rachel has given me a great new haircut that helps me deal with the new texture of my hair, I think it really looks good! And the space is a really pleasant one to sit in. Nice conversation and you get the feeling that if you didnt want to talk she would be fine with quiet. I will definitely be coming back again and recommend it.

Pamela Maxfield Rachel is a talented, skilled, and intuitive hair stylist. She is always open to input, and communicates well and freely. I have been having her do all of my cuts and color work for years. After reading her Yelp! and Google reviews, I see that almost everyone feels really good about her. "N.D." is one of the few exceptions, and, after reading the other reviews she has written, is apparently unreasonable, demanding, and narcissistic.

Joan Thomsen I love having my hair done at Glamorous hair and nails. Marie is awesome and so thoughtful for I am a cancer patient and she wears a mask to protect me as I come in with a mask. Juloni is the best nail artist I have ever had in my life. They make sure I am safe when I come in and I love being around these girls. They both do an awesome job at both making me feel good and look good.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Saalav C Marie is Amazing. Love my blonde hair when she puts bright pink underneath or streaked. Also did granddaughters hair 3 beautiful colors. Beautiful results. Also offers lash extensions, haircuts, pedicures & has a nail tech in the shop. Awesome quaint place in downtown Eureka.

Lonnie Lawrence I was very happy with my haircut and I appreciated that the stylist was able to get me in as a walk-in. I felt that she took her time and really paid attention to give me a great haircut.

Kate K This was the worst haircut and salon experience. Melinda complained the entire time I was in her chair about never doing another wedding complained about her husband complained about politics. I gave her a picture and the hair cut I received couldnt be more unlike the picture. Not once did she check in about length or anything. She turned the chair, so I wasnt facing the mirror and I couldnt see what mess she was creating. Definitely dont go there if you have curls. She texturized the ends, which creates a huge frizzball on a curl. And I expressed at the end that its not what I asked for. Why are my bangs up to my cheekbone? When the photo had bangs at the chin. Her response that hair needed to be cut. No, apology or how can I make it better? No, can I give you a dicount on the haircut nothing. Crap in every way.

Becky LB Ive been a client of Melindas for 20 years. Shes knowledgeable, friendly and will give great advice about styles I am interested in for my hair. My manicurist retired and I started going to Melinda as well. Shes creative and fun. I get compliments on both my hair and nails all the time. The amount paid below includes hair coloring, hair cut, styling, eyebrow waxing and shaping and nails.

Donna Lyon Ive been going to Mel for years, she is wonderful. She does beautiful wedding styles, cuts any style you ask for, her coloring is the best, and she will make suggestions when you are not sure what you want. A stylist you can trust with everything.

Doctor Daddii Cant speak for others. But I can say that one girl who works here. Rochelle? Rachel? Regina? Idk starts with a R. She is super unprofessional. Talks smack about others who work there as well as others in the same field. Is extremely judgemental. And she is super pushy. And litteraly hurt my nails by drilling to far. When I said something she started to be upset with me. Dont go to her.

Heinrich Soltow Still open during COVID. Use their website and make an online appointment. My stylist (Kendall H.) was on time and courteous. Ive had the same haircut for 12 years, decided to change it up. Kendall was very patient and understanding and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. I understand that mens cuts are sometimes harder (less hair to worth with, fades are difficult, and some men are very picky), but she persevered. I am very happy with the result.

Edith Fritzsche I am so happy to have Junipers delightful owner Frances back in my life and using her magic on my hair! She is, and keeps, a staff of very professional, polite, and highly skilled stylists. My appointments are always on time, and Frances and the other stylists have always taken the extra time needed to cut my curly, now greying, hair. Elizabeth Moreno I am very very very satisfied with this place! Where to begin? They do an amazing job. My appointment was at 2 and they were ready to help at that exact time. No waiting(even though I wouldnt mind). It was my first time going there and the staff are all really friendly and helpful. A special recognition to Kendall who cut my hair. She did such a great job, she really took her time to detail the cut and make sure it looked good, not mention I have been getting compliments on my hair non-stop. If you are looking for a great haircut THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! On a side note, they sell good hair products and also awesome natural skin care products! I will definitely be going back in the future. The price is worth it.

susan slack I went on a Sunday afternoon as I walk in. I did not know exactly what I wanted for a hairstyle I just knew I wanted it cut quite a bit with a little bit of style. Ky did a great job and I was very happy with it. I am always hesitant to get my hair done professionally because I have thick curly hair. The majority of the time I have paid for someone to cut my hair I dont like it after, and often go home and fix it myself. I will not need to fix this one.

Jaden Stanton Ky cut my hair recently, and we did a little experimenting. I was scared, but she encouraged me. I am glad for it and very happy with the result. She was very personable, honest, and respectful. I love her conversations and transparency.

Morgan Perry does an amazing job on my highlights and trims and she is a delight to work with. Jada Bailey did my mom’s and bridesmaid’s hair for my wedding and her work was excellent. I have also found Bravo Salon stylists’ prices to be very reasonable. I would recommend Bravo Salon to anyone.

Lisa Losey The worst hair cut!! The beautician did not even run a comb through all of my hair. I believe her name was Bella, although she did not introduce herself. I had to keep asking her to trim sections. She did not check to see if it was even and it isnt. There was zero attemp to style. I did tell her I was not happy and would not be back to her. Yes, I did call and complain to the manager, who offered to have me come back for a redo that she would do. Kudos to her...but this shouldnt be necessary.

Summer Vibes Got a haircut by Jada today and I’m so happy with the end result! She did an amazing job was super sweet and made sure I was happy with the finished look. Definitely recommend booking with her. ☺️

R A I only visited the salon once, I’ll start with the customer service. They were very polite and quick to response. The salon ambiance was quiet, bright and spacious. The reasons I am rating the place 2 stars: My stylist did not have enough experience with wavy/curly hair, and did not have professional shampoo cape for hair wash service. The shampoo quality was average. My hair was not done m, and I had to redo my hair as soon as I got back home. Maybe the stylist have experience in different areas, but if you have wavy to curly hair this might not be your best option if you are looking for an event full glow.

Her expert balayage coloring reflects an artists eye and leads to lots of compliments on my hair. I would keep her a secret but Im so grateful I felt I really needed to share her talents. The Boogie Man Do not let Kassidy high light your hair!!! I have been getting my hair done in the same style for over 20 years and I have never ever had this bad of a hair job done before. I was told she was great at high lights and had nothing to be worried about! Clearly that was the big mistakes! I will be taking my business elsewhere, it is disappointing to take my services somewhere else as I have been coming here for years unfortunately once Kylie left the business hasn’t been the same.

Abdul Abdali Ive been getting haircuts at NorCal Barber for a couple of years now. The quality is always great and the consistency is always appreciated. Its also very convenient to be able to book my appointment online and it lets me plan out my haircuts so I dont get in trouble. I have a professional job and a clean cut is always a plus. When I come to NorCal I know that Ill get a quality cut for a good price and be able to depend my barber to be friendly, on time and consistent. Highly recommend!

Jim Falls NorCal is a great, straight-up barbershop like the one I grew up with many years ago. I was ready for a change, and Nate came up with a different hair style - I love it! His attention to detail and skill with the trimmers while feathering things together is outstanding. I always feel like I’m ready for Date Night with my sweetie when he’s done. Now I go back for regular tune-ups and to get more hair products when I run out.

Ekrem Tavan This is a horrible and dangerous barber. When I confronted him about the horrible job, he became aggressive and raised his razor blade to me.

AMG I never write reviews unless the service is exceptionally good or terrible... in this case it was terrible. I came in to ask for a haircut, a 1 on the sides and a trim on top (my hair length on top is a little over an inch). She starts off with the 1 and cuts it way too high up the sides to point where I knew blending it into the top of my hair wouldve been extremely difficult. But I figured whatever, she probably knows what shes doing. She begins to trim my hair on top and there is no way she can blend in my hair on top because of how high my sides were. It looked like a bowl cut. She made no attempt to ask me how short I wanted the trim, but I figured shed just blend it the best she could. She then asked me how I usually do my hair, I said I comb it to the side. Youd think that shed figure, ok Ill leave it long enough so he can do that, right? NOPE. Cuts way too much in the front. She then asks me if I want it shorter in the back while holding the back of my hair. I told her yes because it was still my original hair length in the back. SHE PROCEEDS TO CUT ALL OF THE TOP OF MY HAIR EVEN SHORTER. She then has the audacity to tell me I should just shaved it with a size 3 or a 4 if I wanted it this short. Really?? I said I wanted to comb it to the side after. Definitely cant do that anymore. Told her it was too short and She told me she asked if I wanted the front of my hair any shorter and that’s why she kept going. Not true one bit. Definitely not a miscommunication given I told her I wanted a trim on top and long enough to comb over to the side. I look like the meme where it says "just f my sh*t up" about a guy with a terrible haircut on a billboard. Now I have to pay to get this wildly uneven haircut fixed. She told me because it was too short she would just charge 20$... thats literally the same price for a haircut anywhere else. She also had the audacity to tell me to come back in a week if its still not short enough. Jesus Christ. For anyone wondering, it was the older lady with grey hair and glasses.

Rachel Houska I have seen Ariel at Old Town Hair Works a couple times now and I have been so happy with everything shes done! She takes her time, communicates really well, and creates a comfortable atmosphere. I really like the vibe of this salon. Most recently I saw Ariel to color my hair and she did an AMAZING job, its perfect! Exactly what I hoped for. She is really good at listening to what I struggle to communicate lol but totally understands and translates it to a great result. I will keep seeing her every time I want to get my hair done!

I got right in and the tall thin gal who cut my hair listened to every detail about what I wanted and did exactly what i asked. I was impressed. There were mostly older stylists here but I witnessed several great haircuts while I was there. I would highly recommend.

Kimberly Maxwell I had my 2nd walk-in appointment with Tara, she listens well and does exactly what you ask for and is willing to take the time even if its a little more effort. My hair is very thick and difficult but she has done a great job. Ask for Tara you will be happy you did.

Em I looked around on google to book a hair trim after not having one for a long time… its been nerve wracking to think about having it cut after so many years. I saw this salon and called to ask about getting a hair trim. Lady who answered was off the bat rude over the phone— “So…. Do you want a hair CUT or a hair TRIM? There’s a difference…”… I told her it’s been awhile and I wanted the damage hair assessed and trimmed off. The woman on the phone gave off bad, rude energy and acted like I was wasting her time. It was enough for me to not come in for the appointment the next day— to which the same women called me the next morning (20 mins after said appointment time). Didn’t know what to tell her other than sorry, not going to be there and she then hung up on me. Honestly, thank god I didn’t trust that particular hairdresser with doing my trim and have been happy going elsewhere as I was treated with empathy from the start. Maybe if you talk to customers professionally instead of being condescending, we wouldn’t back out of an appointment and go elsewhere.

Berolinas other services include, nails, feet, tweeting, waxing, make-up and more. Ron Cooper has been my hairdresser for 25 years or more. He has spent the last 25 years figuring out how to manage my crazy, wild hair to create whatever look I was asking for. He is going to be moving out of state in August. I have no idea who Im going to get to cut and style my hair after Ron leaves. My hair is very thick, long and doesnt hold a curl for long unless a ton of hair spray is used, which I refuse to use.. A person has to work with my hair for a while before they figure out the best way to tame my mop. Im going to need to shop around to find just the right person. Ron is going to be difficult to replace. He has been a great hairdresser and will be missed by half the town.

Emily Percival Such an amazing salon! Diana has been doing my hair for over 10 years now, we have done so much to it and I leave happy every time! When I wanted to change up my color a bit and go for something crazy she was so for it! This was my year of changing my hair up! I went from blonde to rainbow and every color in between! And now we are back to blonde and my hair thanks to Diana feels amazing! And can we talk about the salon! Full remodel! Its absolutely beautiful in there.
