Rachel Williams I was nervous about taking some length off, and not only did Jessica do a wonderful job, but she was warm, friendly, and understanding when I was a bit indecisive. I finally found the right stylist for me!

Erin Bacon Annie is an artist! I gave her a terrible description of the style of haircut I wanted and she gave me a perfect version regardless. My hair went from heavy and shapeless to a great face-framing shag. I struggle with finding a complimentary style when my hair is longer, and Im happy with my hair for the first time in a long time! Im also awful at / hate small talk, and it was nice to have an efficient cut in comfortable silence. Lastly, I walked away with some great products, but I picked them because they smell heavenly and work well, not because the staff pushed them on me. Awesome experience all around, will happily be a regular here.

Jennifer Rudolph Alex is amazing. I had a 60 minute facial and brow wax and it felt great. She is professional, kind and fun. Great way to start the day being pampered. The Aveda products smell and feel great and the Salon is very welcoming. On-site parking is available which is hard to find in that area and they have a bike rack in the back in case you want to enjoy the rec-trail on your way to and from....Highly recommend.

Kelley Emily gave me the best haircut and full highlight that I’ve had in a looong time. She really listened to what I wanted and got the color just right

K_ Sulli The owner is extremely kind and friendly. She let me do a walk-in appointment for a quick bang trim, and when I didnt have enough cash on hand, she let me Zelle her. Note: I called in the morning to check if a walk-in was doable, and so I advise others do the same just to be safe. Will definitely come back for a haircut in the future!

Gealoucie Smeiley I went there to get my curly hair cut today and she was amazing and super friendly!! She didn’t do anything without asking me first and after she was done my hair looked better then it has in years!!

Clarissa Rocha Absolutely LOVE the way Viktoria treats my hair! She has been doing my hair for the past few years, I started going to her with heat and color damaged hair that wouldn’t grow past my shoulder length, when I started getting my hair done with Viktoria she did exactly how I dreamed of, my hair is no longer damaged and it grows so fast from her amazing techniques of coloring it and the way she cuts my hair allows it to grow longer and healthier each time!! Viktoria is absolutely amazing she has so much knowledge about her craft and she takes so much pride in her work!! I always leave Viktoria’s so happy with my hair, I constantly get asked who did my hair, I always recommend Viktoria and send my mom and my best friend her way for their cuts and color we only trust her and will continue coming to her for her amazing work!! Viktoria makes everyone feel so welcomed and does exactly what you are envisioning with your hair, from layers on my moms to face frame, to bright bold blue for my best friends dark hair, to my money piece face framing ash color, she always knocks it out of the park she is detailed and such an amazing stylist!! I cannot recommend her enough!! LOVE how much she focuses on the health of my hair and keeps it growing healthy even with my color and bleach I like to do!

Nina J Katie is my go to for my lash fit. She is very personable and gentle. Ive always had a good experience with her. Also, I had great cut and blow dry done by Sophia. My hair is curly and she gave me a cut that looks great curly or straightened out. She was also very sweet and fun to talk to. Definitely recommend both of these ladies!

Julie Bradley Such a cute salon and location! Great atmosphere and price points. Had a "High Maintenance" haircut with Sophia. She delivered exactly what I wanted since I like to keep my hair low maintenance. Great hairstylist and love her personality!

Isabella Hoang I got a hair cut here and my stylist was Brianna, the outcome was amazing! I came in here with very damaged hair, since I didn’t get trims and let my hair grow out for 2 years. The transformation was absolutely amazing!! I also decided to get bangs and I’m in love with my new hair! I would definitely recommend coming to Prim to get your hair done. All the stylists are nice and respectful. I added a before and after picture of my hair to show the huge change, my hair looks and feels healthier than ever

Anna Marie Its a little pricey if youre used to Great Clips and the like, although those places are notching up prices as well. My stylist was friendly, practical and helpful. She answered my questions and was able to work with my lazy directions. She made me look great, cut the hair to the perfect length, and was very gentle with my somewhat delicate scalp. Ill definitely go back.

Veronica Stammer HIGHLY recommend this salon! Chrystal and her team are incredible at what they do. This is the most amazing salon in California hands down. It is such a pampering experience and always so clean and fun. They always take the time to give me exactly what I ask for and go above and beyond. Tatyana Vingert Ive finally found the best salon in town, where true professionals excel. Cecilia came through for me at the last moment, and I couldnt be happier with her exceptional skill and expertise. With my wavy, thick hair, finding a hairdresser who can cut it well has been a challenge. Ive tried numerous specialists and always left disappointed. However, Cecilia not only gave me the perfect haircut but also did stunning highlights. I highly recommend this place, especially Cecilia—shes undoubtedly one of the best artists on the Peninsula. And believe me, Ive visited countless hairdressers in Monterey, PG, and Carmel!

A B Vanity Salon is now known as The Collective. Same business. New name. For some reason if using Google maps, it takes you onto Alvarado St. The 481Tyler St location is correct.

Aiyana Thomas Parvin did a fantastic job on my hair. She did multiple sessions of bleach and toner to bring it from an orange color to a great blonde color. She really takes her time and cares about the client.

Laura Rinklef Top notch service. Mayra did my hair on several occasions and every time she surprises me with a magical transformation. She works with skill and professionalism and never disappoints. Thank you!

Lorrie Stewart Simpson Rosa did an excellent job cutting my long hair into short layers well still leaving enough for a ponytail(because I have to wear my hair up at work, this also feels wonderful for the summer since I live in central California and we are in the high 90s this time of the year.

Martha Johnson-Peterlin This is a fabulous salon and so beautiful inside. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Zoe has been doing my hair for 6 years. She is an exceptional Stylist, who is an expert with blonde highlights and haircuts. She is also a wonderful lady. It’s always such a treat to get my hair done by her.

Emma John I am new to town, which the owner and my stylist were aware of. I got lost on my way to the salon and was about 11 minutes late. I do not text and drive otherwise I would’ve reached out to let them know. When I arrived and was asked how I could be helped I stated “I am here for my appointment with ——.” The response I got from the stylist was, “ oh well she left since you’re late. She thought you just weren’t coming. Have a seat.” This made me extremely uncomfortable as I am sure it would make anyone. My stylist did return to the salon and was nice throughout the service. However, I felt like I was the butt of the joke throughout the service amongst the other stylist. On multiple occasions I caught the other stylist making eye contact and laughing at me/my responses. Of course this is all subjective but it did not seem to be a coincidence. I requested to have my hair dyed a deep dark brown with red undertones/highlights (I was a faded cowboy copper). I showed 3 different photos. I always give the stylist full control as I trust their professionalism and expertise. I left with dark roots that faded into my faded cowboy copper the remainder of my hair length. I did not notice this in the salon because I was so uncomfortable after my experience that I couldn’t wait to run out of there. The service total ended up being $230, which is reasonable for a good experience and to receive what you expected. I move around a ton and have had my hair cut, colored, styled, etc in many states/cities. I am always the new customer and have never left a salon feeling so down about myself. I usually leave excited rushing home to show my husband. So for that price to not get the color I wanted and to have left with a pit in my stomach, it’s disappointing. I want to reiterate that my stylist was nice and I am hopeful she would’ve tweaked the color if I would’ve noticed it while still in the salon. I just didn’t have the confidence to stay. I am saddened by the experience.

sherri maita Michelle is amazing at what she does! I have my hair confidence again. My extensions feel so airy and natural and the color combination is a great addition to my natural hair. Michelle is knowledgeable, helpful, fast, precise and very sweet! Definitely recommend her.

Rebecca Rotter Trebino Michele is the best! I had my consultation for my extensions in May and she was so knowledgeable about the different types of extensions and recommended what was best for my hair type. She ordered two different color extensions in order to custom blend the color to match my natural hair and it is absolutely seamless. Her attention to detail is unmatched and if something isn’t just right she will make it right at any time. She keeps your hair and scalp health at the forefront of her business as well so I never worry about my natural hair getting damaged. Plus she is the sweetest and so nice to chat with during services! Would recommend her to anyone looking for extensions. They are an investment after all!

Sasha Welkom Michele is hands down the best I’ve ever found. I’ve had extensions for 7 years and had never been told that having fine hair meant using fine haired extensions... it made all the difference in how it looked, felt and maintained the health and fullness of my natural hair. Her eye for color match is impeccable , making a flawless blend. She is also a sweetheart and a pleasure to be around, which is a big deal considering that it takes time to put them in and maintain them.

Aaron OHare Monterey Vibe Salon has left an impressive mark on me. Upon entry, the cleanliness and comfortable atmosphere provided an immediate sense of relaxation. Dominees warm welcome and prompt timing were commendable. Despite being picky about who styles my hair, I was incredibly content with the entire process. The way she paid heed to my hairstyle preference was indeed praiseworthy. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone desiring a fresh, new look. The experience surpassed my expectations.

Olga Verkhotina Great new salon - calm atmosphere, cute decor and wonderful stylists! Very down-to-earth & great expertise. I’ve been going to Jami for the past 5 years at another spot for a balayage and maintainance, and she’s done a phenomenal job each time. She doesn’t just make your hair look great, but takes into consideration its health and your lifestyle, how much time you’re willing to spend maintaining it, etc, which I so appreciate and is not common to find. I’ve never been able to have my color last as long and looking fresh before as I do now when Jami does it. I feel like I can trust her 100% to work her magic even when I’m not sure what I want the end result to be - it always comes out exactly as I needed.

When I started, my hair was blonde and had a lot curls with some frizz to manage. As life has aged me, so have surgeries ~ which apparently changes the texture of your hair. Renee has been there, encouraging and supporting me throughout, always finding a way to express and display my “beautiful Gray”! Can not fathom you would have any regrets, every persin I have personally referred has become a regular.
