Paige Cabral This new place is awesome. I was really excited to hear Amber and April opened up their own salon. Downtown GV just got a little better! Amber is great. I live in SF but I still get my hair done with her when Im in town, shes really good about fitting me in last minute. Shes always done a really good job with my hair and shes super nice, too. :)

Analiese Lumbard I’ve been going to Blush in Grass Valley for several years, and am always pleased with how I look on the way out. I see Lindsey, and she is great! Everyone there is very friendly. Would recommend!

Brooke Gaynor Dawn did my hair and it was absolutely beautiful. She was also very kind and made my experience not only relaxing but something I look forward to from now on. She did the best color I have had in years. I’m so grateful to have found her. Lady’s book with her she is amazing.

Michelle England I love this place. I have been going to Georgia for years now and she never disappoints. She does amazing color hiding all thise unwanted gray hairs. The Hair Lounge is also very relaxing. Everything is clean and comfy and the complimentary drinks are always a nice little perk. I also love that they have parking, making my experiences that much more relaxing!

Annie Speegle This salon is sunny, comfortable and smells wonderful. My stylist “Georgia” is fantastic. She listens to you and maintained her focus throughout my haircut. So much fun chatting with her.

Jen Foxley Autumn is hands down IMO the best stylist in the area. I have extremely difficult hair to work with and I often come away from hair appointments extremely disappointed. Not with Autumn. She is truly a gifted and skilled stylist!

Sandy Stylist, Steve, is deeply sensitive to my needs, i know i can trust him 100% with my hair. He takes his time, doesnt make assumptions - doesnt let his ego get in the way of what *I* want. On top of that hes very good at his job; Its obvious he loves his work and I leave feeling pampered and pretty. What more can a girl want from a visit to a salon?

Jen D Karibeth cut both my boys hairs and they loved them! Its hard now days to get that right hairstyle for the young men and she nailed it! They have thick hair, curls and doubke cowlicks..Will be going back!

Donald Costa I moved to Grass Valley two years ago and was lucky enough to find Darcy for my barber soon after. She is a local gal, fun to talk to, and does a great cut for a fair price. She is now open again with the new covid 19 requirements in place.

Shane Plunkett Id give him 6 stars if I could. Hes cool he gives a great haircut. I shave my head but my son has beautiful wavy curls, for his first hair cut I walked in and told him what I liked, he did a great job and the man knows what hes doing. Initially I was in mild shock by how much he took off it was way more than I expected but it quickly grew on me. Now we only go here and I dont ever worry about the end result.

John Egan My wife used to take my son when he was 5 years old to Youngmans. Hes now 22. When I got off the road, I began going there, as I just wanted a mens haircut, something you cant get at Super Cuts for some reason. Sam has been cutting hair since he joined the service in WWII, and knows everything that goes on in Grass Valley. This is a nondescript barber shop in an old Victorian style house. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Lilli Heart Designs When I moved up here from Marin County I tried a couple of recommended salons. One was Paul Mitchell trained and it was the worse haircut I ever had. I looked for a salon with Vidal Sassoon trained hair cutters because I knew they were trained well. I was so happy to find VJs and found that from the owner and all the cutters are trained with Sassoon. I found Erin there who really has a good eye, and I keep returning and now feel very comfortable in my new home up here knowing I can get a good cut that works when I need it. Such a nice homey atmosphere too! I highly recommend this salon.

Denise Thomas I love this place! Jessie does excellent work and is only the 2nd person ever to get my hair this blonde from a dark auburn brown without losing all of my hair. Her prices are very reasonable and have not changed in over 2 years. Very friendly staff!

Kathy McLean Michelle did a great job on my COVID hair. I hadnt had a cut in at least 8 months and had home colored my hair during the pandemic. She expertly fixed the coloring problem and hydrated my dry hair. Even my husband loved the result. My hair is soft, naturally colored and beautifully cut. Thank you , Michelle. You are a 10 in my book.

juana ojalvo If youre ever in the area and you want to experience a day of pampering such as, a great haircut by an expert hair stylist, this is the place to come. Hair, nails, facials and now, Cryo toning and facial treatments can be provided by a wonderful staff of experts. The salon is in a sweet little farmhouse and the decor is equally as sweet. My favorite hair stylist is Michelle V.

Cynthia Macintosh I had a lovely experience at Naturally You. Sherry took her time and gave me a great cut! I walked in with dry, stringy, unruly hair and walked out with my own natural curls looking soft and beautiful. My hair appointment was a wonderful treat.

Gia Borrero Avoid this place. Terrible experience with this salon’s owner. I asked for a simple trim and a blowout. She cut my hair in layers that were uneven and unfortunately I didn’t notice until I got home. I texted her that same day asking if I could come back in for her to fix it, but she ignored me after several texts and calls. The next day I showed up at the salon to show her my obvious uneven cut and try to schedule something in person. She was so rude, kept repeating that she didn’t have time and couldn’t see me. When I politely asked her to just take a look at the cut so that we could schedule something as soon as she had time to fix it, she accused me of having used scissors to cut it myself! Why would anyone do that?! That’s how obviously uneven the layers were. She couldn’t take responsibility for how bad the cut was and had the audacity to put blame on her customer. She was unwilling to fix her mistake. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional and rude she was, so I left and had to go to another salon to have it fixed. All together, after having it fixed, I ended up spending $100 for what should have been a simple haircut and style. Also the blowout was the worst I’ve ever gotten. She started using a round brush, but gave up after 10 minutes, then used a curling iron to try to give the “blowout effect”. I guess because my hair is curly she didn’t want to put too much effort. So I left with my roots curly and frizzy and the rest partially smooth. When I got home I had to run a straightener through it to smooth out the roots. Horrible experience. I would avoid at all costs.
