S S I was able to get my nails and toes beautifully done at a convent hour for my schedule. Very nice and friendly and top notch service . I requested a special design to add a unique flare to my nails and was accommodated with a great design. That’s a first! Clean and nice environment. I would recommend this salon to everyone!!! You can’t beat such service and skill. The nails are unique in themselves, clear instead of all that powder and all the time is saved!

Laurel Martinez I have come here a few times for a gel manicure and deluxe spa pedicure and each time I feel relaxed and refreshed after leaving. The women are all so nice and friendly and they all do such great work! My gel nails always last at least 3 weeks. Im very happy and will keep coming back.

Frances Fowler Came here to get a simple cat eye nail with silver stars on each nail. I even sent them a message ahead of time to be sure it was a design they could do and they said yes. I get there and show the guy the photo again, explaining the color, the cat eye and hearts I want. He gets started prepping my nails but then transfers me to another guy at a different station. I show him the pictures and explain again and he confirms he can do it. Says it’ll be $40. He finishes prepping my nails then explains they don’t do cat eye/magnetic nails and to pick a glitter gel polish instead. I’m annoyed but choose a glitter gel polish. He does the entire set and says he’s done. He hasn’t done the stars I wanted. I ask him what happened and he said “You didn’t tell me” in an annoyed tone. I reference the photo again, pointing out the stars that I verbally asked for and are kind of a major component to the finished look. He proceeds to take the gel off only 2 of my nails and redo them with the stars before stating he’s done. At this point I just want to leave. I go to the counter and he still charges me $40, despite more than half the designs I was quoted for and clearly asked for 4 separate times not being done. As I went to walk out I seen on their wall them promoting cat eye polish with the entire display stocked. If you don’t want to do your job just say that. Incredibly disappointing and total waste of money.

Alycia Mello I started going here for my nails and toes 1 year ago when I first moved to this area, and I instantly loved it! This place is the best nail salon I have ever gone to, and I’ve been getting my nails done regularly for over 15 years! I personally go to Tee for my nails, and she is absolutely wonderful, I LOVE them every time! If she isn’t available for you, I have seen that they are all very good as well! If you’re looking for somewhere to get your nails done or a pedicure, this is a must try! Don’t hesitate, or rethink it, I promise you will not be disappointed or regret the decision! You will end up making it YOUR nail salon, just as I did!

Ayslin Rice Went in for a gel French pedicure plus a French lacquer mani pedi. This experience was meant to be a Christmas gift to my mom. Cons: The lacquer manicure seems to have been quite a low effort endeavor: nails shaped crooked or not shaped at all, the French manicure lopsided on each nail and from nail to nail. We didn’t take pictures- the mani lasted one day because only one (possibly no?) top coat was applied. You might be asking yourself why I didn’t say anything- I didn’t know until the next day, when the person who had the manicure (this individual is inexperienced with expressing negative opinions to service workers about their work) told me. I like to give the benefit of the doubt but this was not very nice. Pros: They took us right on time for our appointment and the booking process was easy. The foot massage was good, and they deliver all of the services promised in each package. They took off my old gel pedi with a drill, but took care not to scrape or damage my nail. Clearly very hygienic, the facility was clean and well lit. Well staffed, and the staff was cordial and professional. Overall this was still a good experience, but the manicure being poorly executed made me very disappointed. I got my mom these services so that she could relax and feel beautiful and happy, and the next day when her nails were ruined after some very light cooking (with gloves) she was sad and I was sad for her. We came in on a Monday, so in my opinion the manicure should have at least lasted through Wednesday. I’m sure the salon in general will stick by their staff, as they should. I would recommend this place for gel or acrylic, but not for someone wanting lacquer.

cheyanne Gibson What a magnificent time that I had today! My best friend and I had a girls day with pedicures. Clean, wonderful atmosphere smells wonderful. I really like the lemon scrub and the orange mango lotion. completely worth the 40 minute drive South!! FIVE STARS FOR DAISYS

The only caveat I have is that recently the salon ihas been overwhelmed by the smalls of the nail polish remover and other chemicals. It’s hard to breathe, so not sure if I will be returning;(

Kathie Faletra I recently had my nails done here at Chloe’s. Took me right away. Located in downtown San Anselmo. Not many places do dip. They took great care in removing my old dip. They took their time and did a fabulous job! Everyone was friendly and smiling. Had a pedi as well. Ot stones, towels and wonderful massage of legs and feet. All in an hour. I will return!! Highly recommend!!

Vincent was amazing he says he has been doing nails for 10years and his experience really shows I was honestly just blown away. Make sure you ask for Vincent for specific details in your nails!!! It’s a new nail place so when I saw pictures of their work and had real good results I was so happy to finally love my nails. Every time I go to nails places I end up being upset by the thickness or it looks weird or really funky. I was on a time crunch too because I was getting my nails and toes done for a party, and they did not disappoint to hurry up, and I got to where I needed to be. Also, I got in a really bad fight but my nails held up so greatttt. The people are so nice I would highly recommend going here for a good time and quality baddie nails

S B Worst nail salon ever! From customer service to the actual pedicure, I have never experienced anything worse. They are just ripping people off. I got a basic pedicure but they did nothing at all. Instead I got crooked nails, cuts and splotchy nail polish and they are greedy! The front desk lady just kept asking for money. They advertise free wine with their service but they said they don’t have any wine! After we pushed the lady brought a bottle and gave us all a little shot of wine. We were a group of 10 so we got them decent business but what a disappointment this was! Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Suzy Margaryan Save your nails and money! I want to share my recent experience, as it was disappointing. Ive been a loyal customer for years, but it seems the owner may have changed? Because the quality has dropped for some time. During my last visit, Willie did my gel pedicure, and it was terrible and painful. I dont think he was paying attention at all. Despite my request for him to be gentle many times, I felt pain the whole time. It was the ugliest paint job Ive ever seen. At the end, there was more nail polish on my skin than on my nails. I didnt even complain. I just wanted to get out of there. My fingers were so sore and inflammated that night, my husband made me take advil. Not a big deal - world has bigger problems, right? I know. But what really made me upset the most was the next day when three big bubbles had formed on my nail. I didnt have much time to get them re-done somewhere else cause I was going to leave town.. I decided to call them out of frustration and they told me to return for a fix (which was nice). They mustve been talking about me cause all workers were staring at me non stop lol. I can tell they knew the job was done horribly. Ive been getting pedicures for 15 years, and Ive never had a painful and horrible experience like this. My nails were hideous and in pain. I used to love coming here after my massage across the street. Unfortunately I will not be returning, but I wish them the best of luck.

Michelle Landrum Have been going to this nail salon for years and been happy with their service; however, this time was pretty bad. I got Gel X extensions and manicure (my usual). When I tried to use my nails, it felt very strange. Upon closer inspection, there is a huge gap between my actual nail and the extension. I think this is due to too much of the adhesive. It’s painful and odd trying to use my nails because they’re pointed in an upward direction. Flying out of town in the morning, or else I would go back and ask them to remove. :(

Sara Phillips This store is not your basic hardware store. Its more of a hardware/general store. They have everything you thought you remembered for your camping/rafting/biking trip. Some things you can find here include: cutlery and housewares, fishing bait and tackle, rafts and oars, Downieville souvenirs & postcards, down to the general hardware supplies like hammer, screws, and paint. The owner, Cindy, a lifelong resident of Downieville, and her employees are very welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating to all your needs. Her two adorable pugs are also a joy if you are in need of some puppy love during your visit here. Dont hesitate to stop in and see if they have what you are looking for!

Lynnea White This store is filled with stuff you wouldnt think youd find in a small town. Kids broke a window and was trying to find a temp patch and found out hardware store has glass and can cut it to size. Saving me an hour trip to big city. Needed a vacuum belt for a pretty old vacuum and Cindy had it. I swear they have everything you can imagine.

Jennifer Peretti I have come to Bamboo Nails in the past and they have never disappointed. I came in this time to get some pampering before my baby shower this upcoming weekend, theme is Winter Wonderland and They knocked it out of the park. Katie took her time and made my pedicure so relaxing and she knew exactly what I wanted with my light blue and snowflakes! Nick was so polite and brought my vision to life with my custom nail set, with his hand painted snowflakes. No stencils used on either. They are so cute and I am soooo happy with what I received! Would recommend 10/10 for both of them again!

Jlyn M I recently visited the salon for a pedicure, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely unacceptable. Despite explicitly requesting that the water/treatment not be too hot, the technician proceeded otherwise, resulting in burns on my feet. She witnessed my skin’s reaction but failed to address the issue appropriately. Additionally, the service was incomplete, yet I was still charged $82. Due to this negligence, I am now experiencing prolonged peeling and discomfort, comparable to paper cuts. Given my health condition, this situation poses a serious risk of infection, which could have severe consequences when it comes to my feet. When I sought a refund for the injury caused, the owner refused. As a result, I will no longer be a client and strongly urge others to seek services elsewhere. This establishment prioritizes overpriced profits over customer well-being, and I can not support a business that disregards client safety and satisfaction for the "services" they provide.

Ella Rolland I have gone to Bamboo for two years now, and every time has been great. But this time my nails chipped after one day, my cuticles are damaged, and the technician was very rude. Not happy.

Natallie Ward My girlfriend and I are in here at least once a month to get our toes done. Even when they’re busy, they make time for you and treat you very professionally. There’s seriously no better place in town. Very clean, and worth every single penny. I have a very hard time relaxing and every time I come here, I leave so ready for a nap. Barry Storch We had amazing service and a glass of champagne! Our regular manicurist closed her salon for a month and we are going on a cruise so we needed help to find a great manicurist. I wrote 8 friends for recommendations on a salon to go to and 3 wrote back recommending Nailtique! What a treat. We needed 2 simultaneous appointments for my husband and I for Gel Mani-Pedi. We arrived and were immediately welcomed and went to our pedicure chairs and offered a glass of champagne. WOW Im loving this. Next I described a polish I had seen on Instagram. And they showed me an incredible collection of every gel color imaginable. I didn’t see what I wanted so I pointed to the chrome on the manicurist’s chair they immediately said oh you want Chrome and immediately got my chosen finish since it’s more a finish than a color I ended getting something I have never seen in person and I LOVE IT. I will post some pictures below and show the results of an excellent job.

Cianni Baguio I came in for my appointment, there was no wait And I was seated immediately It started out great! The lady did my eyebrows first… No issues! she proceeded with my upper lip still no issues. She kept asking me if I felt pain Or if I was okay (Which is normal) Then she made a comment that I had “Thin skin” I had no idea what she meant by that… Her comment left me confused Sooooo After the session she handed me a mirror and showed me that some parts of my skin burned/ripped off She placed Neosporin or some sort of ointment on my skin so it wasnt so obvious to me on what she had actually done! 12 hours later and I can barely wash/touch my face. I had no idea how bad it was, because for 30 minutes she just kept going with the session. So when I finally left Nailtique and went into my car, and looked into my magnifying mirror… That is when I saw that the lady apparently waxed some of my skin off On the right side of my face Just under the corner of my eye On the right corner of my lip In the middle of my eyebrows And other small parts of my face The lady was indeed pretty apologetic, but then she also blamed me for having “thin skin”…. She was applying so many different things on my face after she finished Which I did appreciate Anyways I am supposed to have Christmas/Santa photos tomorrow afternoon… i guess I wont be in the photos this year! Side note: I did reach out to them via google maps chat and email It is now Almost midnight and I still haven’t re any response from them. I hope they see this review and be extra careful with providing their waxing service I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else And I sure do hope my skin grows back soon

Tina C Horrible place! In my 39 years, I’ve never experienced such filthy pedicure practices. The lady cut my toe and Immediately felt pain. I told her to avoid further digging of my toe and she laughed and spoke to her friends in their language. Fast forward to 8 days later…. I have a full blown fungus infection! This is a FIRST in my life! Absolutely AVOID this filthy place!

Selenia Zepeda I was in the area which I don’t live here in Downey and after my appointment my plan was to get my nails & pedicure done and my husband was searching for a nail place and many of them were about to close and so he found Beauty nails and I called them to ask if I can come and they asked if I was close I said yes I am so they took me in! Wow! I am super pleased with the way they greeted me and the pampering treatment the staff gave me! The lady that worked on my pedicure knew I had not done my pedicure in a long time and so she got to work and just did an AMAZING job and then after I was done w/my pedicure I headed over to get my nails done and Nhu Vu who is the owner worked on my nails Gel X with such a great attitude and just wonderful customer service! I shared the picture of how I wanted my nails and he just got down to work and they turned out Beautiful! Thank you so much if you are in the area I highly highly recommend this nail place!!!

Scarlett Bijoux Nailholic is my favorite and my go-to nail spot. The customer service is great, Kobie always helps me when I come in for acrylic full sets or fills. She is very skilled and very kind. I have been coming here for at least this past year for pedicures and acrylics and I highly recommend this spot. The quality of the nails is unlike any result I have gotten from the other local shops. I always leave pleased with the result and come back excited to get a new set and style! It is very clean and everyone is welcoming and friendly.
