1 /5 Teresa D: I have been a patron for some time, mainly in SoCal where this is a thriving franchise, so I was a pleasantly surprised to find a location in Tracy after relocating here a few yrs back. Well that changed in this past year.
This location appears to be engaging in practices that I believe are intended to force customers into "store credit" and denying customers from reclaiming their items after the cash offer deadline they set of 24hrs is missed. Specifically, the store has transitioned from personally calling customers to notify them of their cash offers to using an automated texting service. This new service seems intentionally designed to direct its offer text as spam to be easily overlooked and/or missed with the full intent to keep customer products which they then sell for profit as their own merchandise.
Due to this change, the employees who aparently are also the owners as they very clearly stated, fail to adequately contact customers who have offered items for sale. Furthermore, Even after demanding the immediate return of my merchandise they refused because it had already been tagged to sell, which I interpret as stealing with intent.
I strongly advise all potential sellers to exercise caution when dealing with this location, and buyers be aware of the type of business this family is running.
I normally bring items in as new condition once or twice a year, as we also donate to reputable non profit organizations which seem far and few these days.
* in regards to their response, I am attaching images showing that they in fact use different numbers for different communications (service agreement vs orher notifications). Unfortunately, I dont have more because I do declutter my phone regularly. With that said, keeping items and or refusing to pay out when the customer is in store within reasonable time and doing so with a nasty attitude is a choice, and shows exactly how you run your business.
