1 /5 Kaylee Savage-Wright: Sorry for this rant, but:
Super unhappy with my experience here. Ive taken clothes in twice to try to sell-- both times, I have asked if they could set aside the items they decided to take so I could see what they were taking and for how much, and decide if its worthwhile for me. I do this at Crossroads all the time and its never been a problem.
The first drop off I did they told me theyd set the clothes aside with the prices. When I went to pick them up the next day the buyers hadnt done so, and were basically like, "Yeah your clothes have probably already gone out to the floor."
The second drop off I did was 4 bags, and again they told me they could put aside the clothes they decided to buy and have me look when I came to pick up. But the worker at the front counter couldnt even find my bags at first-- I kept having to run back to my car to put more change in the meter bc I hadnt expected it to take so long, and then when he finally found my bags (from another part of the store that didnt seem to be where they usually put clothing buys), he only had 2 bags.
Now, its partially my fault that I didnt notice at first-- I was in a huge rush since now I was like 30 minutes behind with how long it took the worker to find my stuff, and frazzled from running back and forth from my car. I don’t know why I assumed hed just combined everything into the two bags he handed me, but I did.
I didnt go through the bags right away, but when I did I realized that a ton of my clothes were missing. Freestyle had only bought a couple of my things so its not like all the missing clothes had been purchased. When I realized how much was gone, I called the store, explained the whole story to the manager, who told me it was basically my loss but I could email her with photos or descriptions of the missing items. I did that immediately, and they never followed up.
So now theres just like $100+ worth of my clothes gone and they did nothing about it. I dont need a handout but as someone who worked in customer service most of her adult life I would have at least offered some credit or something, or just been nicer? Anyway, only had crappy, unhelpful experiences here, and definitely wont be supporting their business in the future.
