3 /5 Paula Horsky: What you would expect in a tourist location. Merchandise was not unique. No customer service. Cashier just wanted to check your items out and get you out the door. No greeting, no can I help, no thank you for stopping,... Store was clean and merchandise displayed well. Our group spread out and searched for the specific sizes that we were in search of. Made one spontaneous purchase. Never found the size we were needing.

1 /5 Mark: Extremely disappointing experience. I was charged a surcharge on a DEBIT card, which appears to be illegal under the Dodd-Frank Act, and then sales tax was applied to that surcharge, which may also be unlawful per the 2019 NY Supreme Court ruling. On top of that, the tax charged itself appeared inflated. I explicitly informed staff of the improper debit surcharge, yet it was still applied. This strongly suggests this practice is being imposed on ALL debit card users, not an isolated mistake. This matter has been reported to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, Visa, and my banking institution. What’s even more troubling is that this appears to be a systemic issue across nearly ALL Heavenly Village merchants, not just one location. As first-time visitors to Tahoe, we were met with hidden fees, questionable tax practices, and annoyed, short-tempered staff instead of hospitality. Heavenly Village and its merchants need to adopt lawful, transparent payment practices. These violations will always be reported. Very disappointing introduction to Tahoe.

1 /5 My Name: This is a chain store with 3 stores in Tahoe on Lake Tahoe Blvd. The staff at the counter, who appeared to be a manager, was the most rude and unfriendly person I have come across in a while. When I asked the woman how her day went. She told me the store is doing well. I asked how her day was going and she stated, HOW I AM DOING PERSONALLY IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Additionally, it seemed that no matter what I asked, regarding merchandise or service, she wouldnt have cared one way or another. With this said, buy your tee shirt or jacket, but dont expect service from the staff. Very unprofessional.

3 /5 Debbie Oliver: purchased 9 souvenirs but when I returned home there were only 8 in the bag. Although there were 5 t-shirts, teddy bear, shot glass, coffee mug and a fridge magnet purchased the magnet wasnt in the bag. Being the smallest item it could have been left on the counter. Just embarrassing when handing out the gifts that someone was left out
