Avalon Park - Victorville Vanessa Fleming: Cute park with trees that shade the entire park. Bathrooms are a bit yucky and the park needs to be cleaned up from trash, but overall its great park.
Sunset Ridge Park - Victorville David Vargas: Nice park to get your steps in. Restrooms are always open and somewhat clean baseball diamonds can use a little TLC. They have a playground for the kids, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a covered picnic area with plenty of BBQ grills.
San Diego Free Tour - San Diego Evelyn Lye: We had a great experience with our tour guide, Isobel! She was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, taking us on a 2.5-hour walk through the heart of San Diego. We really enjoyed learning more about the city’s rich history and seeing the key sights up close. Thanks, Isobel, for the wonderful tour!
Old Town San Diego State Historic Park - San Diego Jasnit Batra: Old town feel and such beautiful landscaping! Has a museum and various things that have been preserved to give you an old school feel! Small shops offering food and drinks to carts to proper restaurants, you will find all of them in the vicinty! The candy shop had the most amazing sugar free chocolates! The artisans corner had the most amazing planters and garden accessories!
Balboa Park - Bogdan Pankovsky: Balboa Park is truly one of the most beautiful and vibrant places Ive ever been. Whether youre into art, nature, history, or just want a peaceful walk — this place has it all. The architecture is stunning, especially around the museums and the iconic California Tower. The gardens are beautifully maintained (especially the Rose Garden and Japanese Friendship Garden), and there are always street performers, local events, and food vendors to enjoy.
Perfect for families, solo explorers, or a romantic day out. Don’t miss the San Diego Museum of Art or the Botanical Building. There’s so much to do, you’ll want to come back again and again. Free to enter, full of energy, and absolutely worth your time.
Sunset Cliffs Natural Park - San Diego Venu: Beautiful, relaxing, serene, park with clean beaches and surfing and rocks with interesting shapes carved out over time.
Fabulous family friendly beach to spend a few hours.
Extremely well maintained and clean with a useful picnic area and easy parking.
Just great for older kids.
SeaWorld San Diego - San Diego Avinash Jayakumar: SeaWorld was a full day of fun for the whole family, especially our 4-year-old who was wide-eyed the entire time. There’s a great mix of shows, animal encounters, and kid-friendly rides—definitely more than just an aquarium. The orca and dolphin shows were impressive, and the touch pools were a huge hit with our little one. Staff were helpful and patient, especially in the kids’ areas, and the park felt clean and well-organized. There’s a good variety of food, though a bit pricey, as expected in theme parks. Overall, it was a memorable experience and worth the visit if youre in San Diego with young kids.
San Diego Air & Space Museum - San Diego Alex Cameron: Had an absolutely fantastic time visiting the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park! If you have any interest in flight or space exploration, this place is a must-see.
The collection of aircraft and spacecraft is simply awesome. Walking through the exhibits feels like stepping through history, from the earliest pioneers of flight to the marvels of modern space travel. Seeing iconic planes, historical artifacts, a moon rock and actual space capsules up close is truly inspiring.
The exhibits are well-presented, engaging, and packed with fascinating information that appeals to all ages. They really capture the spirit of innovation and adventure.
With its awesome exhibits and remarkably friendly staff, its an engaging, educational, and thoroughly enjoyable destination for solo visitors, couples, and families alike. Highly recommended!
