Anna Raquel Quero Matheus: Wonderful museum with beautiful pictures from local artists. The kindness and hospitality from the staff make you feel comfortable and confident. First woman from my country in visiting this museum in Chico
J L: Very family friendly and informative. Mark made such a memorable moment for our son. The stories and information he told us was very thorough. There is so much to see that your eyes will keep on moving and youll learn random information that you might not have known. Thank you to all of those who gave us a tour, greeted us and gave us more information of the area.
Abby Rizzo: Visited when I had the place practically to myself on Saturday morning. The staff made it so fun by answering my thousands of questions. They also pulled out some really neat animals that I could see up really close. All of the animals are unreleasable due to various reasons. There were a fair number of endangered species too. It doesn’t look too exciting upon entry maybe, but it will thrill you if you stop and ask questions. The owl, unfortunately, passed away. Just a heads up. The staff took it hard. Very sad. Otherwise, it was as described on the website. Worth $5 for me.
Joshua Molchen: Apparently, Caper Acres is officially a dog park. We were there for an hour or so and saw 5 people with their dogs. One person even tied their dog to a bench and just left it there in the sun. I had never seen so many kids there. It would be nice if someone would enforce the park rules.
They finally repaired the drinking fountain!
David Merrifield: Much better than I expected. Also, make sure you make reservations in advance! They were booked up when we went, but Murphy was kind enough to squeeze us in anyway. Murphy was fantastic! So much knowledge, and personal experience growing up here and watching the renovations progress. I cant think of anywhere else that you can get that much for $6!
L G: Best place for dog swimming. Perfect for a short getaway, canoeing, swimming, rafting, fishing, short walks with few people. Plenty of little turnouts along River Road for resting. Allot of drive up small parks and boat launches for fishing. And its a nearby alternative to five mile at Bidwell when its crowded.
Dionna Fuller: The bridge was redone beautifully. The bathrooms were clean and open. There isnt much parking and access is a bit rough for disabled folks. We also found there to be ticks near the water. Views were great though.
T Moseley: Good park with a few rough edges as in most parks in Chico due to some homelessness ....but they were in some certain spots and its a beautiful park with good softball bocce ball a few disc golf baskets tennis and pickleball courts plus a walking path.
