05-2025 Ted’s Barber in The Best 8 Hair Salon in Alturas, Modoc Country Blazing Shears - Mammoth Lakes Johnston C: Were passing through the area and have been RVing for a few months, so it was time for a trim. Communication with Angie was great, she was able to squeeze me in, great conversation, and she gave my shoulder length wavy fine hair just what it needed. If we lived here, she would be my go-to for sure.
Jocelyn Lee Beauty - Mammoth Lakes Capo Dance: Jocelyn was great. She cut my 10 year old daughter’s hair and was amazing. She suggested to donate it and will send it in for us. She’s very friendly to talk to. She spent a lot of time on my daughter’s thick hair making sure it looked healthy at its new length.
Haute Looks - Mammoth Lakes Marty Geheb: She is one of my best stylist when I am on the road.Alway glad to see me.Cuts my hair the way I want.
Salon 437 - Mammoth Lakes Kevin Lian: I totally recommend Jenny Morris at Salon 437! After moving to Mammoth Lakes from the suburbs of Los Angeles about a year and a half ago, finding a new hairstylist was a nightmare for me. Im super picky about my hair, and I had been going to the same stylist for 13 years—I never let anyone else touch my hair. So, you can imagine how tough it was for me to try someone new. But after a colleague (who always has an awesome haircut) recommended Jenny, I thought, why not? Booking online was super easy, and I showed up with a photo of how I like my haircut. Jenny worked her magic, and honestly, it turned out just how I wanted. Im so relieved I found her! Id give her a 10/10 any day!
Allure Salon - Mammoth Lakes Sarah Therese: Daryl is awesome, I come in for either a textured or blunt-cut bob and it always looks perfect and consistent. Very happy I found her and highly recommended. Online booking is super convenient
Knotty Girl - Monterey kaitlyn roche: I’ve been getting my hair colored for many years and Viktoria is the best stylist I’ve ever had. She is so kind, professional, and does such a fantastic job with my blonde hair. She really listens to what the client wants and has been so great to work with.
J. Maroon Balayage & Hair Studio - Monterey Yunnuet Martinez: Absolute the best hairdresser ! It’s always a pleasure to get my hair done by Johnnie. Studio is stunning. I’ve gone to him about 4 times and never disappoints. I definitely feel pampered after. Not yet to say he was able to work with my long thick hair and now short. Not only I love getting my hair done by Johnnie but also spilling my tea haha. Thank you for always making me feel comfortable me and my mans.
Alchemist Hair Studio - Monterey Maro VanValer-Campbell: Had Emma. She was great. Super excited she was a fellow curly haired girl. She listened to what I wanted and talked me through what she was doing and asked for opinions and input. She washed my hair and gave the best scalp massage! I love my haircut. It isn’t a huge difference because I wanted to keep my length but its flows and styles SO much better and easier now. Will def continue to come back. I felt she was very reasonably priced!
Platinum Salon - Monterey Annie McCausland: Jules gave me the best hair experience of my life! Im just in love with my highlights and cut! Jules accommodated to my work schedule last minute and worked late that evening on me. She knew exactly what I was thinking and what my hair needed. Ive been getting so many compliments. I highly recommend Jules for your color and cut needs!
Sunshine - Monterey K_ Sulli: The owner is extremely kind and friendly. She let me do a walk-in appointment for a quick bang trim, and when I didnt have enough cash on hand, she let me Zelle her.
Note: I called in the morning to check if a walk-in was doable, and so I advise others do the same just to be safe.
Will definitely come back for a haircut in the future!
