06-2025 Smugglers Cave in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in San Luis Obispo, CA, USACuesta Canyon Park - San Luis Obispo Geosan: It’s a nice little park. Great parking and grass area! The bbq, eating area was big but the bbq grills were so full of charcoal ash. Had to clean them out ourselves before we bbq’d. Had to pay for our area which is the norm these days but would have been nice if it was ready for us. Clean rest rooms and clean park. I did like it and good place to hang out for a day. Not sure if I’ll go back though.
Dallidet Adobe & Gardens - San Luis Obispo Kathryn Beetle: We recently had a Celebration of Life event at the Dallidet Adobe and Gardens on Pacific Street in San Luis Obispo. Many of our attendees were local and had never been to the Dallidet and were shocked by this peaceful spot in the heart of downtown. If youre looking for a beautiful wedding site or a quiet spot to just take in nature, the Dallidet Gardens are well worth your time.
Laguna Lake Park - San Luis Obispo Salvatore Canu: Recently visited the new Laguna Lake Dog Park. What a difference and so nice for the furry four-legged folks. New dog park offers ample room for the pooches to run around and visit with friends. Nice touch is they separated the park for large and small breeds. Definitely recommend the new dog parks to locals and visitors alike.
Point San Luis Lighthouse - Avila Beach Rhi Trujillo: Great tour and views. I visit a lot of lighthouses and used to work at one, and I think this is the best preserved one that Ive been to.
You cant drive there because of the neighboring powerplant, but you park in Avila Beach and take a van up to the lighthouse. The driver we had was funny and friendly, and the drive was beautiful. We were put into a small tour group when we got there. Our tour guide was very friendly and knew a lot about the lighthouse. You get to go through the beautifully restored lantern room, bedrooms, and kitchen on the tour. You get a few minutes to check out the trails and gift shop too before the van takes you back
Make sure to reserve your tickets online in advance if you want to visit
South Hills Open Space - San Luis Obispo Panupong Saensooksalwong: This open space is a gem! The trails are well-maintained, the views are stunning, and its a perfect place to escape the city and reconnect with nature.
Puzzle Effect Escape Rooms - San Luis Obispo - San Luis Obispo BL M: Great escape room experience. We did The Reel room. It was really fun and just hard enough. If you get stuck, you will hear a chime in the room, and a clue will be provided on the movie screen. Rooms are clean, and clues are well thought out. The staff are friendly. Brady and Sherman were great and made sure we had a fun experience.
Los Osos Bear - San Luis Obispo Lieberman Neil “Liebowitz”: Worth a visit if in the area. The drive by has some nice views of the Morro Bay. He’s a good sport and gets dressed up for Halloween too.
Poly Canyon - Tina Nguyen: Hiked in this trail for the first time, November/22/20.
The trail starts right in the middle of the campus.
There’s no parking fee, no entrance fee, I didn’t see bathroom at the trailhead.
My hike was a loop 7 miles, around 1,200 feet of the elevation gain.
I was started at something very interesting, those architecture graveyard projects, it was fun, I enjoyed a lot.
Following the dirt, rock, straight up trail, it leads me to the Serenity Swing, (tree of life).
The views of the canyon from the peak is truly breathtaking, it’s spectacular place to take a break.
I was ended my hike at the ranch.
It is not too difficult hike, well maintained trails, no shade, hiking shoes needed, plenty of water, hat, sunblock, snacks.
Happy Hike Everyone!!!
Sinsheimer Park - San Luis Obispo KDG: Freaking awesome park!!! Our toddler never wanted to leave! From the huge playground structure complete with. Ridges and super slides, to the free grass hill slides, to the zip line for children, this place has everything.
There are trails to walk, tennis courts, restrooms, bbq pots and picnic tables.
Best part? It is far away from any roads and/or traffic.
I know I am leaving so much out, but this is everything that a park should be! It made me want to be ten years old again’
Pioneer Museum - Paso Robles Andy Van Pelt: Very nice museum with lots of interesting things. Over 1000 specimens of fencing wire, old typewriters, guns, saddles, etc.
Theres an old jail, merry-go-round, and a 1 room schoolhouse outside.
No charge, very friendly staff
