5 /5 Rhi Trujillo: Great tour and views. I visit a lot of lighthouses and used to work at one, and I think this is the best preserved one that Ive been to. You cant drive there because of the neighboring powerplant, but you park in Avila Beach and take a van up to the lighthouse. The driver we had was funny and friendly, and the drive was beautiful. We were put into a small tour group when we got there. Our tour guide was very friendly and knew a lot about the lighthouse. You get to go through the beautifully restored lantern room, bedrooms, and kitchen on the tour. You get a few minutes to check out the trails and gift shop too before the van takes you back Make sure to reserve your tickets online in advance if you want to visit

5 /5 C Werth: We put our inflatable kayak in by the wharf at 10:20, landed at the beach at 10:45, walked up to the lighthouse, rinsed our feet near the bathroom, and strolled around the grounds. beautiful experience. We made it back,l oaded thr kayak, and were on our way. by 12:20. highly recommend and would like to return.

5 /5 Holly Patty: A quaint but beautiful experience. We could go inside but the walk around the grounds was tranquil and the gardens were fun to look at. There was even a rope swing that made it feel like you were swinging over the ocean. Plus the kayak trip out to it was filled with otters and seals. 10/10 would recommend!

5 /5 Sara Morley LaCroix: This is one of the best kept secrets. The drive up and in to the lighthouse is spectacular!!! The docent Phil was very detail oriented and had extensive knowledge about the sight the family and the function.

5 /5 Dustin Koobatian: My fiancée and I kayaked here from Avila Paddle Sports and it was a great experience. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the private beach and then another 5 minutes to walk to the lighthouse. Its a very serene place with stunning vistas. If youre looking for a fun and leisurely activity to do with friends and family, a lighthouse kayaking or paddle board trip is a must. Would definitely come back!

Poly Canyon -

Tina Nguyen: Hiked in this trail for the first time, November/22/20. The trail starts right in the middle of the campus. There’s no parking fee, no entrance fee, I didn’t see bathroom at the trailhead. My hike was a loop 7 miles, around 1,200 feet of the elevation gain. I was started at something very interesting, those architecture graveyard projects, it was fun, I enjoyed a lot. Following the dirt, rock, straight up trail, it leads me to the Serenity Swing, (tree of life). The views of the canyon from the peak is truly breathtaking, it’s spectacular place to take a break. I was ended my hike at the ranch. It is not too difficult hike, well maintained trails, no shade, hiking shoes needed, plenty of water, hat, sunblock, snacks. Happy Hike Everyone!!!

Sinsheimer Park - San Luis Obispo

KDG: Freaking awesome park!!! Our toddler never wanted to leave! From the huge playground structure complete with. Ridges and super slides, to the free grass hill slides, to the zip line for children, this place has everything. There are trails to walk, tennis courts, restrooms, bbq pots and picnic tables. Best part? It is far away from any roads and/or traffic. I know I am leaving so much out, but this is everything that a park should be! It made me want to be ten years old again’

Pioneer Museum - Paso Robles

Andy Van Pelt: Very nice museum with lots of interesting things. Over 1000 specimens of fencing wire, old typewriters, guns, saddles, etc. Theres an old jail, merry-go-round, and a 1 room schoolhouse outside. No charge, very friendly staff

Anita Nygaard: Highly recommend for all ages! Just took our 19 y.o. here to celebrate her birthday - we had much more fun than we ever expected. Loved the attentive and fun Lifeguards at every ride. Glad to have healthy food options.Lockers were smart. We we were there on a warm August Monday, but didnt need a Cabana. We also just enjoyed being around other families that were having a great time.

yung-chin Chen: This is my first time to visit the park during Christmas season. I am amazed by so many beautiful lights in the park. We are also surprised by seeing an old classical fire engine with lights coming to the park for visitors to take pictures.

Scavenger Hunt Walking Tours - Paso Robles - Paso Robles

Thomas Stone: Tour took 30 minutes and covered 1 square block of downtown. there was no historical information for the different areas of the hunt, so nothing was learned beyond what a plaque at the building said. Several of the buildings that were visited were never even mentioned in the hunt. The ONE single puzzle was to add some numbers. Walking around separately we saw multiple spots/locations that could of been included but were not. Overall very disappointing and not worth money, have done similar hunts in other areas that were quite well done, this hunt could learn from them.

Estrella Warbird Museum - Paso Robles

Mark Miller: We visit Paso Robles often, but never for five nights, as we did December 31-January 4, 2025. You can only visit so many wineries, so we decided to see whats changed at this museum. Who doesnt like looking at airplanes and classic cars anyway? This museum has many exhibits, is clean, and seems to be well run. There are several docents in key areas to answer any questions you may have about the displays. Everyone is very friendly and down to earth. Bottom line is its still a great place to spend a couple hours and learn some history of our great country.
