1 /5 Reaper X: So I wanna start by saying this, the owner was very friendly & completed the work on my vehicle within a day. Now the bad! My normal mechanic was closed that day so I was forced to find another so I found sals. Long story short he charged me 1200$ for a 500$ job. My normal mechanic ( apex ) would have charged me 586$ for my fuel pump replacement. Sal charged me 1200$. So the labor should have been about 190$ he charged me 670$. I basically paid double what I should have. I understand hes a businessman however scamming people out of their hard earned money is wrong. I hope you have the smarts to find an honest mechanic. Sal Is not that.

5 /5 Kent Stevens: I had just bought a truck in OR and was driving it back to Central Cal where I live when it broke down on a Sunday in Weed, CA. So I arranged with AAA to tow it to Sals Auto Repair 70+ miles from Weed. The tow truck driver (from Shasta) had heard great things about Sal which made my wife and I feel better. Once we got to Sals, he immediately diagnosed the issue and also discovered other alarming things going on with the truck that we should have been informed on by the car dealer in OR. Sal stored our truck at his shop and was very helpful throughout the process of us working with the dealer to solve the issues. His expertise was extremely valuable, but even more impressive was Sals human compassion to help others in need and did so from his heart without his hand out wanting something. Sal is as honest as they come and I wholeheartedly recommend Sal to anyone looking for auto work done.

5 /5 Mrs. Jeanny Grunert: My cars check engine light turned out while we were in Redding. I called several auto shops in town, but because it was a Saturday, no one answered their phone except for Sals Auto. He was pleasant to talk to over the phone as I explained to him the problem. I drove my car to his shop where my family and I met Ramsey (who was also very nice and welcoming). Sal took the time to diagnose my car, and he even test drove it around. Thankfully, the problem wasnt that bad (P0299 code, had something to do with turbo???) so it was still safe to drive. Sal didnt charge me anything for his time. Thank you Sal and Ramsey.

He went above and beyond and was the fairest and kindest mechanic I have yet to encounter in California! If you need auto repairs, go see Sal, you will not be disappointed!

5 /5 Bobby Graham: Sal was absolutely amazing. I let a friend of mine work on my car and they messed it up pretty badly. After letting it sit for nine months I brought my car in to Sal with just a box of bolts, and only knew I needed a new alternator for it. He took the time to be comprehensive, and you could absolutely tell he knew what he was doing. He was very patient and explained what was going on every step of the way. Furthermore he is a genuinely nice and honest fellow who loves helping people. It ended up being a bit more work than I had expected, but he figured out why the car wouldnt start and I was on the road the next day. I cannot stress enough that this man is a very very good mechanic, and a good person in general. I will definitely be bringing my car to him for any service from now on.
