05-2025 Salon Serenity in The Best 19 Hair Salon in Ventura, Ventura Country La Rouge - Ventura Madelyn Valenzuela: Rachel did my makeup and my mom’s hair and makeup for my wedding a few days ago. She did an amazing job and I have never felt so beautiful! She gave us exactly what we asked for. Rachel was so great to work with. I would 100% recommend to others.
Sol Hair - Ventura Courtney Werber: If you’re looking for a blonding specialist, Taylor is your girl! Ive been going to Taylor for about two years, and she consistently delivers exactly what I want. She’s incredibly meticulous, which I truly appreciate, and her ability to create such a natural, lived-in look on my hair never seizes to impress me. She also really understands how to manage blonde hair growth, ensuring my grow out looks super natural, allowing me to go 12 weeks between appointments. Beyond her professional expertise, shes incredibly kind and so sweet. I highly recommend Taylor!
The salon itself is equally impressive. They’ve created a space that embodies the perfect balance between welcoming and luxurious. I always look forward to my appointments there!
Sojourn Salon - Ventura Kim Pitman: Its a nice Salon only the stylist did not color my hair the way I wanted or cut it the way I wanted it. She decided to go another way, she said! I thought since Im the one paying shes supposed to do it the way I want. I paid for a full head of highlights and got about 4 highlights and then she charged me extra for toning at the end. I asked for a blunt trim across the bottom of my hair as my hair is very thin and I need a blunt cut to keep it looking thicker she decided layering it would be better. If you cant decide what you want and want a hairdresser to decide for you I highly recommend this place but if you want things done your way like I do Id go somewhere else. My hair looked great theres no doubt about that, let me make that clear. It just wasnt what I asked for.
HIDE Hair Lounge - Ventura Kelli Loughman: Leslie, the owner, has created the most beautiful, warm & welcoming space at Hide Hair Lounge. She and her team of stylists are the best of the best, very professional and extremely talented at what they do! I have been seeing Leslie for many years and I am always happy with my cut and color. I highly recommend this salon.
Alicias family hair salon - Ventura Gonzalez Gabby (Gabby): Alicia and Gaby were both very nice. I called before hand and texted them a picture of what I wanted. They listened to my needs and Gaby cut my hair exactly like I wanted. Thank you Gaby!
Hair by Cheriba - Ventura Sharyne Cervantez: I was a bit nervous about being in a salon after the Covid19 re-open. But that quickly changed once I got there.
The salon looks a little different because of the precautions they are taking to make sure that we all stay safe. There are fewer chairs and those are spaced further apart than before. Everyone wears masks. Including clients.
Cherie was careful to sanitize everything at her work area and in the shampoo room, too. Her actions showed me how concerned she is about keeping us all safe. And she still managed to provide the same relaxing salon & spa experience I have come to expect. Cherie made my hair look great even after no hair care visits for 3 months.

Salon Illum - Oxnard Elizabeth Connelly: Just had my hair cut by Kayla, and man was I impressed! Amazing environment provided and also meeting the owner Daisy was a great as well. Such a great environment, extremely intimate. Not only did she give me tips and tricks on how to take care of my hair. And I made another appt to ensure I see Kayla for my hairstyling needs! Ms_Naestyles - Oxnard Latoya Jones: I have been going to Ms. Nae_Styles for a little over a year now! I came to her with my hair struggling. I had just did the big chop and was in desperate need of a professional to help me grow my hair back, As i had chopped my hair off within an inch of its life. I was so discouraged at that time, but when i was fortunate to find Ms. Nae that quickly changed! Fast forward 10 months later, my hair had not only grown back but it surpassed its original length! its now in the middle of my back! And i wouldnt have been able to do it without her! Ms Nae is more than your average stylist! She an innovator, and a creator! What sets this beautiful woman apart from other stylist is not only is she skilled in black hair, she can do all textures of hair! She also has her very own line of hair care products! Sky Salon - Oxnard Cesar Zapien: My wife came in for her hair. Wich was a birthday present from me. The cut was good but the hair color she wanted was not it. they ignored the color she wanted and basically just gave her the same hair she already had. We tried talking to the person who did her hair and see if we can fix it thats all we asked. But nope she completely ignored us for weeks. Dint seem to care for my wifes hair. Spend $250 here. For them to rush my wife out the door didnt even dry her hair. And for them to not give her the hair color she wanted. Would not recommend this place.
