5 /5 Holly S: I gave this zoo 5 stars because it is clean, knowledgeable and friendly staff, accommodations for disabled and sensory sensitive peoples. Ive been here many times throughout my life. Its not a big zoo and doesnt have a lot of animals, but they do have a variety. Several big cats, rhino, zebras, okani, red panda, two toe sloth, a few kinds of lemurs, giraffes with a viewing deck and option to feed them as well as meerkats, capybaras, birds etc and a reptile house. A full restaurant and while I feel its a bit pricey their portions are huge. They also let you bring in food so not a big deal. They have a nice playground for littles and a carousel. My 2 year old had a blast. The paths can be rough but workable. It is an older zoo. I think itll be better if they can get started on the new one in Elk Grove. Its a great park for being a smaller zoo. Still bigger than Folsom. I enjoy it. Plenty of bathrooms and theres a 50% off discount for disabilities, but you have to buy at the gate. I would suggest buying tickets a week or more ahead of time online though to get the best regular price.
