5 /5 Cooper Ronald: I highly recommend Righettis. Ive worked with a dozen mechanics and Steve Righetti is the most impressive. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the faulty air-fuel sensor quickly. He was also very upfront about the costs, and when parts were cheaper than expected, he was upfront about that too, and he charged me less. Super honest guy. He taught me a bit about car exhaust systems and walked me through the problem and the fix. Hes incredibly knowledgeable. Steve also referred me to a great locksmith who cut me a spare key for 1/4 the price of the dealership. Righettis will save you money and provide excellent service!

5 /5 Kelly Nelson: Steve and his staff were extremely friendly and welcoming; I felt very comfortable there. But what really stood out to me was how honest Steve was with me. I know nothing about cars, and its obvious, but Steve didnt take advantage of that like a lot of auto shops have tried to in the past. He also gave me an extremely good price on my battery/installation. Lets just say Im coming back here for any of my car needs, despite the 40 minute drive from where I live!

They were the only shop open on a Saturday and Steve answered after the first ring. He agreed to see me in the afternoon after finishing with another customer and sure enough, he was ready to help when I arrived. Steve is professional, knowledgeable and friendly, characteristics that are rare in automotive industry. He walked me through what was wrong, explained the solution and fixed the problem on the spot! 5 /5 Neil Whitelaw: I used Steve Righetti for dozens of years and at one time of my life I was an after market parts distributor so I do know something about the auto repair business. Steve is the most honest and knowledgeable person in Marin County auto repair business. He is a regular go to person for other repair shops when they are stumped by a problem. They wont keep your car all day from 8AM to 5pm if they can get you going in far less time but then they do get busy because of their reputation. In my 60 years of car ownership I have never found anyone of such impeccable honestly, knowledge and skills in the repair business. They will use lower cost parts if they will do the job properly but only if they know they will work without problems, otherwise they will use the original brand of parts. They do charge the going rate for proper service but you will save money in the long run. I used them exclusively for many years of automobile ownership. Im sometimes surprised that there isnt a line out the door. If youre a scammer or an unreasonable person dont waste their time.

5 /5 Stephanie Dresti: When a local noticed my car smoking when I pulled into a San Rafael gas station, he recommended I reach out to Steve Righetti. He called him up, put me on the phone with him, and Steve was helping me out within fifteen minutes. Not only was Steve (and his colleague Roger) extremely efficient when troubleshooting my car’s problem, but he was extremely kind. He recognized that I was having a rough day while traveling for family matters and kept me smiling while he worked. He was more than fair and did his best to pinpoint the issue at minimal cost, going so far as to drive down to pick up a part so that I could make my way back by the end of Saturday (instead of being stuck until Monday business resumed). He even called Monday morning to ensure I made it back to the South Bay safely--which I did. Take your business to Steve if you’re looking for someone you can trust to do the job and treat you well. I’m extremely grateful I was pointed in his direction.
