Plunger Records: A friendly atmosphere which starts as soon as you turn onto the campus! I told the valets it was my first time and they were glad and welcomed me! Lance the assistant pastor gave an excellent sermon, the 9am service. I met Andrew the worship leader and his wife Sarah. It was a beautiful service and I am considering membership and will be back next week.

Michael Lecy: I was mistreated and alienated by this religious institution. My genuine pain and grievances were reframed as sin and spiritual failure while the church leadership avoided accountability for its own actions. I was forced to swallow an outcome that came with no genuine curiosity for my human experience or any objective inquiry into my claims or perspective. My time at this church was deeply damaging. Instead of offering support, my legitimate struggles were twisted into accusations of sin. Leadership repeatedly told me I had a "victim mentality" and that my perspective was wrong because I didn’t have the "right context." They insisted I "clean up my mess" if I wanted to be accepted back, all while refusing to acknowledge how their actions may have contributed to my pain. I was made to feel like the problem was entirely mine, with no room for reflection on the leaderships role in creating an unhealthy environment. Any attempt to express frustration was dismissed as slander or division. My emotional distress was labeled as spiritual failure, while the church’s own failures went unaddressed. This kind of spiritual gaslighting—where real pain is framed as personal sin or demonic deception—is harmful and manipulative. It erodes self-trust, fosters guilt, and creates an environment where individuals are unable to process their hurt or heal. This churchs leadership seems more interested in maintaining their image than genuinely supporting the people they claim to care for. If youre looking for a community that values healing, accountability, and genuine care, I strongly caution you to look elsewhere.

Araceli Zenteno: Its a beautiful place. Ive found a refuge here, a comfort. Its like home. There are Bible study groups, and different programs for all ages. I invite you to come visit the Blessed Sacrament, come and get involved in the Church. There are groups in Spanish and English. Lets learn more about our Lord Jesus Christ. We need him in our lives in these difficult times.

Tony Driggers: Although I do NOT agree w/ all the tenants of the church of Christ (many in the denomination believe they’re the only ones going to heaven; drinking and dancing is a sin; etc. examples of things I do NOT believe), I have 2 admit they - for the most part - preach straight from the Holy Bible. It’s interesting to see so many conservative CofC’s in a state like California. Most of us native Californians know that, traditionally, Orange county, by and large and I’m referring to, perhaps 50-50 and specifically places like Huntington and Manhattan Beach Had long been a conservative (beliefs) county. Personally, I’m a Libertarian in the sense that I dont BLINDLY (“ like lambs to the slaughter”) vote straight Republican or Democrat as I see both parties as extremist...ALL Americans should vote w/ their “BELEFS” & not [ignorantly] “straight ticket!” The media spreads SO MANY LUES, though, it’s difficult to know the truth hence the reason you should do research on the Internet and not get your news from television! If you do, you’re grossly uninformed/literally brainwashed. At any rate, I guess you would say I’m in the middle and it all depends on the issue as to how I believe which is the way - and TRULY not to preach my personal feelings - I truly believe this is the way that most Americans should vote (how can you ANYBODY disagree when I say: do ur iNet research & vote w/ UR BELIEFS (I find the CHURCH/the HOLY BIBLE HELPS TREMENDOUSLY in guiding U no matter what church or spiritual beliefs you have!). U R ENTITLED TO - PLEASE do NOT ‘blindly vote for a party but vote on the issues and, sadly, as far as the candidates go, I generally just pick the one w/ the most similar beliefs (or is the old adage goes, the lesser of two evils. I doubt anyone would disagree with the fact that you should vote how you believe and not just a straight ticket. Furthermore, with the advent of the Internet over the past several decades, it’s so obvious and should be to all Americans how are media absolutely directs ourBelieves and almost brainwashing procedure that they used to influence your own beliefs. When they say fake news, it’s true my friends! Anyway, like politicians (“lesser of”), I found this to be a really great church and extremely friendly and inviting members there of. Please note that my comments were not really meant to be political as church and politics don’t mix but I was just making the point that there are many churches of Christ and orange county area.

Ted Franklin: Not much social distancing coming here for service. A friend of friend invited me though. Hard to find parking coming here. Felt a bit pressured on how they run on Sunday once visited. Wish they are more nicer. Based on my experience, it was just complicated to understand and prefer not to visit. Irresponsible when some are not safe even with masks. Having a hard time process coming. On issues I had, they tend to brush it off and not care to solve. Hard to trust them when they cant handle the real truth. Seen passing by on their page, there was a youth group and hardly any masks. No proper social distancing as seen during their in-person program. I went to service before once and not much safety they even care meeting up.
