06-2025 Pura Avenida Mural in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in Ventura, CA, USAGolf N Stuff - Ventura Jo Scott: This place was really great - the putt-putt course was doable for the kids and clearly marked. Most of the holes had tables to write on and benches to sit on and the landscaping was so nice. Also, the 80s music playing fit the vibe perfectly.
Our kids love hitting up putt-putt whenever we travel (harder to find these places as time goes by) and I think this is one of the best we’ve ever visited.
Young adults working the go-karts, bumper rides and cashier station were all so nice.
The putt-putt course does have stairs throughout. Also, at the start of the putt-putt course it says to limit your group to 4 or less people - both of which did not affect our group but feels worth noting.
Chumash Park - Ventura Dian Kelly Carroll: This is a nice park. Lots of smaller kids sports games/learning sessions are held here as there is a lot of open ground areas with plenty of sun plus quite a few trees for shade.
Playground equipment (swings, slides, etc.) for smaller children and some for a bit older. Wish there were a few more benches with shade.
It is very dark at night unless you stay on the sidewalk by the street, they could use more lights. But they do provide doggy bags and though we bring our own have had to use so appreciated.
Two Trees Escape - Ventura Daniel Sakilayan: Ashley did a wonderful job taking care of me and my girlfriend with our game. We did Grimm’s enchanted forest and it went well! We finished in less than 1 hour with the help of our lovely host, Ashley! We had an incredible experience! Definitely coming back and will be recommending our friends and family!
Mission Park - Ventura Robot Steve: Its a great park to take my dog, Dottie, to. She absolutely loves it. The only caveat are the red-shirted "ambassadors" of downtown Ventura. It appears that they use the park as a means to efficiently bully and harass the Citys less fortunate unhoused community via arbitrarily locking the parks restrooms-- often right as someone is walking up to use them.
Kellogg Park - Ventura Maya K: This is a beautiful park with a beautiful community garden. That being said, every time we have visited rambunctious teens and shady people make this park feel unsafe. Teens and grown adults running full speed playing tag on the literal playground with zero regard to small children ( who this park was built for) . When asked to please be mindful of the small children, we get cussed at. There are endless teens on ebikes.
Im glad these teens are hanging out at the park and enjoying the outdoors but I just wish they would be mindful of small children.
Yesterday I saw a possibly homeless man just walk up into the white flowers, pull his pants down and proceed to take a dump. There was also what I hope was just dog poop in the small childrens play area.
Its really sad the community cant respect this beautiful park.
Ortega Adobe - Ventura Gary Standke: Only the parking lot is open during the "open hours", the adobe is always locked. You can look through the windows with your phone. It used to be staffed by the Museum of Ventura County, but that was years ago.
Seaside Wilderness Park - Emmanuel Verduzco: Bathrooms are very clean. Grass areas and campgrounds are uneven but not overgrown. Pay for parking via website. It was great for our group camping trip. TrainS pass really close; the freeway is also audible. Ocean waves are faintly audible.
Arroyo Verde Park - Ventura Miv: Best place to hike and chill thats not too far from the city. So many different trails, from easy to hard, so make sure you have the proper footwear, or have walking sticks. One section is very slippery. But, being in nature is so worth it!
The Ultimate Escape Rooms - Ventura DannaIsabella: Awesome service! They have an awesome staff that is really nice and very helpful along the way. The escape room itself is so nicely decorated and really detailed, there are so many things to put attention to but only a couple are actually meant to lead you to get out. The attention to small details and immersion is great, the design of the scape rooms seems genuinely creative A really chill and fun experience , would recommend for sure to support this small bussiness ✨
Albinger Archaeological Museum - Ventura Gary Standke: Call the Museum of Ventura County, across the street, to verify it will be open. Free Admission.
