1 /5 Allyson Aabram: This practice runs Synergy Estates. A facade for care. Do not let the website imagery or "extras" sway you! Our family worked extensively, for over five months on and off, with the patient coordinator, who was communicative and resourced. Unfortunately, she was the best and only thing the facility had going for it unless you count the chef, who is present to appease the staff who sit around with food and drinks like they are on vacation.
Most importantly, during my sons 30-day mental health stay, he NEVER saw a physicalist in person. EVER! It is unethical at best. It is no surprise that my son didnt develop a rapport or show a willingness to engage or change medication as he was talked through a computer by someone he never met.
My son did NOTHING the entire time he was there. I know this because I asked for all the daily "notes", which took over an hour to obtain. During his stay, I was told that my son was participating and doing better. THIS was untrue. He never participated, per the notes. He did not improve. No one ever suggested he needed different or more care until.... magically, right before the 30 days. Once Synergy had drained our insurance company funds, they didnt have a proper discharge plan, and suddenly, my son was deemed "disengaged". We had approval directly from an insurance company case manager to allow an extra few days to ensure we made the proper transition, to which Senergy booted him. We had to rush 6 hours to get him and had no plan for any aftercare- and a disaster.
Also, during my sons stay, multiple doctor appointments were canceled, missed, and reset under their care. They were all within 5 miles of the house?! I coordinated a visit and drove 6 hours to be present for discharge planning with my son and staff, and when I arrived, I was told they would be there soon. After waiting around, I was told they werent coming and given a shrug, "You can come back?!". No, I live 360 miles from here and we planned this for a week? There was no care, knowledge, or expertise amongst the staff, who again were dolled up for the night out and seemingly disconnected to the vulnerable individuals a room away. (except one) . Clearly, money was the objective.
Select this option if you would like to invest $40k in your family member sitting in a gilded cage with women vamping around in heels "caring" for them while they sip sodas. AND zero follow-up from any DR. or NP in the practice afterward despite several messages and calls. They dont answer calls, they dont respond.
It is a money grab. Synergy did nothing but hold my son in limbo and prevent him from getting the care he desperately needed. What a shame that this is likely to be read by the profiting people. I have never experienced such egregious disrespect for care. The "co-founder," R. Jordan Turner, should be ashamed.
