5 /5 Leaf LaRay: Its a beautiful bridge. Free of chrage to cross. Outstanding piece of mostly plain grey cement. It got us safe across to the other side. No highwaymen, robbers or pirates, or trolls. Really appreciate the river views. Small parking lot on one side, small lot on the other. Nice echos under the bridge. Check out the tags.

5 /5 Stephen Joaquin: Natural bridges is an awesome place to visit off parrots ferry road. Its a pretty cool cave with quite cold water that you can swim through to the other side. Its only a short 0.7 mile hike in so its perfect for a quick getaway.

5 /5 Josue Bustillos: Hiked the Dutchess Mine trail, sometimes referred to as the Bomb Trail, due to the device at the top of the hill. Was about 3 hrs round trip filled with beautiful views of New Lake Melones.

4 /5 Dustin Long: I hike here a couple times of year. Spring is my favorite time of year because of the wildflowers. Winter is good but, not as vibrant. Summer is way too hot! You can do the Dutchess mine trail loop. Either go up the steep mountain or make a right and follow the shoreline for a more gradual climb. There really isnt a good spot to recreate on the lake its too steep. Take water and ladies, try and use the bathroom before you get here. No restroom facilities. Always a great view from the top!

Sonar Sub - Angels Camp

James Le: An odd looking item that somehow ended up on this tabletop plateau. The object is vibrant in color from the graffiti on it and stands in stark contrast to its surroundings. There are some cement objects around this spot. Some say this is some kind of Navy Sonar Sub while others say its the attachment to some kind of glider. Its definitely out of place where its at and makes for a unique landmark to visit. Im sure SOMEONE knows how and why this got here and what the backstory is. For anyone that does know the backstory to this, please share. Im sure theres quite a few folks whod like to know.

Doug Minton: The new launch made things a bit busy but i do see things at this little park getting better. With the dredging of the old ramp to the new ramp will add access for canoe, kayak & swimming. Time will tell but this park is getting renovated & upgraded

Colusa-Sacramento River State Recreation Area - Colusa

Pachee Thao: This isnt the cleanest place to come to, but there are many different places to fish on the shore. Theres a trail leading to a beachy fishing area on a bend. There is a fee for day use, camping, and boat ramp use. We paid $6 for the day use. Besides the active boats on the water, its an enjoyable new fishing spot. Its not busy on land at all. Theres plenty of parking in the month of April.

Colusa National Wildlife Refuge - Colusa

Sharlene Nay: What a beautiful wildlife refuge. The car loop was fabulous. We were able to take a nice slow loop and see a very large variety of birds. We came back again the next day and plan to return again and again.

Colusa Levee Scenic Park - Colusa

Kevin M: A bit small, but walking the levee is very nice. Walking up and down can be tricky for older visitors though. There are benches, a few picnic tables, plenty of shade to beat the heat. It’s also a steep climb to fish at river level. Across the street has a couple left over buildings from the old Chinatown in Colusa.

Pixi: Great place to bring the kiddos to play! No entrance fee, you just buy tickets. Each ride is 2 to 4 tickets. Most rides allow adults, except for the airplane ride. Theres food and drinks available to purchase. Their unique merry go round has a fun superhero theme. Fun for all ages but especially for toddlers.

Tabitha Hsia: Lake Concord is truly the pinnacle of the saying “If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm.” Come after a rainy day and prepare to be stunned by the amazing views and parking options available. Also many restaurants close by where you can sit and enjoy the view.
