Grant Jack: So many frogs! Frogs, frogs everywhere! What a wild, fun idea and I think its super cool the neighborhood has just embraced it. I will say, if you do bring a frog to leave, bring something made with weather resistant materials, please dont bring a stuffed animal or anything with fabric, they get nasty soon after they are left and bring the vibes down.
Elaine G: It was a short and easy hike, mostly about exploring interesting rock formations and expansive views. I liked that the rocks were grippy, like sandpaper so they were easy to walk on and climb. Its a great spot to enjoy lunch or some snacks and take in the view.
Andria Chandler: My favorite beach in Goleta! The right side often has more people but if you go far on the left it is pretty deserted and quiet. Dogs on leash unless it’s a week day and no lifeguards are there.
cameron H: Very peaceful and serene place. Hidden gem in the SB area. The Mesa is awesome too. Apparently all the butterflies stopped at Pismo this year due to habitat loss. I was there last week and I was informed by a local that the total butterfly count was 4. I spent 2 hours there and saw 6 - but I was also all alone so they probably felt more comfortable. One actually sat down next to me for 30 minutes - flew away and came back twice. I posted a picture. I would recommend visiting the area no matter what - but just dont expect to see many butterflies - if any.
W H: The nice railroad museum in Goleta! The whole park is well organized and clean. You can have a ride on the small train. Children are free, and for adults and $2.5 for a ride. The ticket prices are reasonable and you can learn more about the train! It’s fun.
Kevin C: This small lake is an absolute gem, perfect for a quick escape into nature. The walking loop around the lake is well-maintained and offers a serene stroll with lovely scenery at every turn. Ducks and various other birds are plentiful, adding life and charm to the experience.
It’s dog friendly - dogs must stay on leash. Your furry friend will love it and the trail around the back of the lake is a really nice natural path that winds its way back in a loop. It’s the perfect little outing to refresh your mind and connect with nature. Highly recommend!
John Schein: Epic views. Great water tower for perhaps a packed lunch! Lots of trash and broken glass though be careful! Pretty good car camping spot as well.
Fatih Koleoglu: Such a beautiful and relaxing park with incredible ocean views! Perfect spot for a peaceful walk, picnic, or just to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. The park is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of open space and benches to sit and take in the views. A must-visit when in Santa Barbara!
