5 /5 R You Still Talking?: My son’s 2005 Chevy truck smelled like gas for months, but I didn’t have a clue where to take it or who to trust to diagnose & fix the issue. Maybe that’s just how old trucks smell? Luckily my friend said it was not normal for it to smell like gas & referred me to Pacific Star Auto. It is located in Chula Vista which is super convenient, so I gave it a try.
I was greeted with a smile (by the owner) who then listened to me ramble on about the gas smell, the fact that the air conditioning wasn’t cold and that fact that the engine light turns on and off. Despite my lack of knowledge, he listened & quickly diagnosed the issue and gave me a reasonable quote to resolve. Hours later he showed me a picture of the amount of gas that had leak throughout the engine! Driving that truck up to that point was such a risk to my son and I was just mortified that I waited as long as I did to take action. They fixed my son’s truck in 1 day allowing minimal disruption to his day to day obligations. The mechanic was super nice & explained things to me in a way that helped me understand & trust the process. Needless to say, I am a now a raving fan! Don’t take my word for it, just look at all the awards on their walls. Plus they have a quaint, unique & fun decor.
In addition, I was able to met some regular customers who were treated like family. Great experience, great employees & great service. I now have a place I can trust with my automotive needs. Highly recommend!
