St Johns Lutheran Church - Oxnard Eric Christopher: I attended St Johns Lutheran School in 1959-60 with my 2 sisters. Pastor Atrops was the pastor and his son Art Atrops was in my 3rd grade class. Mr. Bob Heckman was my 3rd grade teacher and he was a real disciplinarian. Mr Visser was my sisters 5th grade teacher and he was a lot nicer.
In 1985, I enrolled my sons in Emmaus Lutheran School in Alhambra, CA and the 8th grade teacher was Mr. Heckman. Oh, the stories we shared.
