Orland Buttes Recreation Area - (CA)

5 /5 Kenoyer Jerod (JRod): This was my first time to Black Butte lake. This day we were at the main spillway overlook and checked out a few of the camp grounds. On the Orland Buttes side they have a huge group area that had horseshoe pits, large gazebo with a large BBQ area. Bathrooms with what look like shower. And plenty of space for everyone. Oh yeah! They also had a playground for the littles in that group site. This whole area looks pretty awesome, especially when the water is full. If you dont like heat I would suggest camping spring or early fall.

5 /5 Margareth Lewis: My family and I had the best time! Camping, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. This was really amazing and kids friendly. I would recommend!

4 /5 Sandra Peterson: This is a nice Corps of Engineers campground with some scenic views of the lake. There are no utilities at the sites. Some of the sites are not level and care should be taken with a tall trailer because some of the campground roads are tight and the oak branches are low.

4 /5 Steven Jankiewicz: Amazing view, road wad difficult to get there. Much of the lake wad evaporated and it was far too hot. So avoid the summer months or plan for the heat

5 /5 Pamela Smith: Love exploring all the dirt roads out here. Theres always a trail to explore and very little people during the colder seasons. Sunset or sunrise is always a beautiful scene to see.
