5 /5 Angella Raisian: I totally am absolutely loved it, because it reminded me so much of Virginia city, which is an authentic Gold Rush town and looks pretty much like the old Temecula town.
If you go on the main street, a lot of the buildings are still original, including modern-looking 1909
Temecula hotel is one of the original buildings that has not changed since 1897. You can still rent rooms that look identical to how they looked 130 years ago, with shared bathrooms for men and women.
Right before hotel temecula, if you make a left into one of the alleys, you will find the original jail.
look on the Temecula City website and theyll tell you which 10 buildings are still original from 1800, most of them around old town. Makes it a lot more fun to look at before and after photos to see how things changed.
Photos of the tools are from the antique shop thats at the start of the street on the west side, and these are fully restored hand tools from the late 1800s.
