The Curious Critique - TOP 5% GOOGLE REVIEWER: Shops…. Great eats… Pubs… Bars… Gifts… Live music.. Coffee… Events and all with the beach as your backdrop. Cruise up and down main street and take in the sights, sounds and smells of what is known around the world as Surf City USA! You can’t get more of a classic beach vibe than Huntington Beach Main Street USA. This is what the Beach Boys sang about. You get to live the lyrics and soak up the vibe. Great food and drinks with even better views!
Chloe Schramm: It’s an easy hiking area through beautiful nature. We’ve seen many birds, lizards, fish, squirrels, rabbits, and even coyotes. Fortunately, the coyotes were on the other side of the fence. Just be aware when you’re hiking. The trails are easy for kids to walk and very well-maintained. It was even easy enough to push a stroller through the trails. You can see the ocean on the other side of PCH. The sunsets are gorgeous. There are lots of benches if you want to relax and enjoy the view.
We usually park in the lot off of Warner Ave. It’s free. It’s not a large lot, but we haven’t had any trouble finding a spot.
Melvin Devendra: Great secluded area for the family. Has plat ground, restrooms, picnic tables. Fun by the water. Area to swim, play in the sand, watch boats in the harbor. Great place to go with whole family.
P: What a great place! it is just the best. all day and evening long there is something to do. lots and lots of cool restaurants, bars, amazing ice cream shops. lots of shops for clothing, souvenirs and the list goes on and on. in the evening you can have a strol on the pier to watch the sunset. there is entertainment, little maket stalls,... we just had the best time ever. cant wait to go back and enjoy Huntington.
Barbara S: Truly unique and quaint museum with lots of interesting information, surf history and original artwork! Donations only, no admittance fee but they have a cute gift shop area with local fare-books, t-shirts, coffee mugs and more. Definitely worth a look if you’re in HB. One block off Main Street at 6th & Olive. If you’re a surfer fan be sure to check it out.
Dawnne Kutz: This is a fun park for my 8 year old niece to play in. They have a 2 playgrounds right next to each other offering nice equipment for younger kids up to 5 on one side and 5 and over on the other. The playgrounds and grass area are well maintained and clean. The only reason i give it a 4 instead of a 5 is that there are NO restrooms available.
Mary Barranco: Great place for kids to be kids and have fun.
Water is shallow so it is safer for small kids ( 2 life guards on duty). They have Inner Tubes, mudslide, rope bridge, water gun tubes, giant Legos, axe throwing and giant connect four.
Plenty of shade for adults under trees, chairs everywhere. Lunch tables.
Porta pottys, one outdoor shower and changing rooms.
