I grew up braiding hair..and will do mines..but since coming here almost 3 years ago...I do not braid my own anymore (takes 12 hours), they are so friendly, welcoming, very fast. Everyone is fantastic at braiding and Sarah the owner is just great to talk to. Love this braiding shop and the variety of hair that is offered that I could not find elsewhere

1 /5 Star Johnson: So I got my hair braided here recently & I like the braids but after two weeks, braids starting falling out. Ive contacted the store and they tell me they cant do anything about it. My experience was horrible, the person doing my hair was late, the father changed my appointment without telling me & I sat there for 7hrs getting my hair done. My braids shouldnt be falling out after two weeks, so now Ive wasted $200 on a hairstyle that Im not happy with. Now I have to take my hair down & get it done over

1 /5 Amirah Farr: Made an appointment at 9:30am to get a braid down for a wig for 1:00pm. I showed up at 1:07pm and the gentleman who runs the front said she wasn’t done and needed more time. The braider, Amie, says she needs 4 more hours at least. The other braider, who just started someone’s braids, would not stop to assist me. I am glad this wasn’t an emergency needed for an event or I would’ve been SCREWED. Will never come here again. Book at your own risk.

The owner and all of the braiders are peaceable and communicative and do their best to ensure you have the best experience and feel accommodated. Im very tender- headed and dread getting my hair braided, but Anne is a patient and gentle braider. Ida and Marie braided my daughters hair. Ida was so attentive to layering my daughters leave out to her desired length. No matter what stylist/braider you go to, you will be pleased with their work. The braiders at Obanke Braid shop truly have gifted hands. Me and my daughter love our hair!!
