Camp Pendleton Hospital - Oceanside Paige Aufderheide: I had my baby boy at this hospital and I loved it. I was originally on Tricare Prime and hated the hassle caused by other doctors in Oceanside. I finally switched to Tricare Standard and I now go through the hospital for almost everything. Everything is in one place, and the doctors, nurses, and corpsman are all very friendly. I really lucked out with a good doctor who helped me deliver my beautiful little baby. Its a newer hospital so everything is very easy to find and very nice and clean. I understand not wanting to use military medicine for everything, but this happens to be a very good facility.
Rancho Santa Fe Medical Group Inc. - Oceanside Harold Stewart: My mom was quadriplegic 81 years old with terminal cancer. Dr. Navazo was my momās personal care physician for over two years. Dr. Navazo and his assistants would come visit my mom on a regular basis. Dr. Navazo was the most caring understanding physician my mom ever had. Anytime any of us had questions in regards to my momās care or my mom herself would call his office someone would always answer.
Dr Navazo and his entire staff was very courteous, prompt professional. I canāt say enough about Dr. Navazo and his staff. We thank him for being there with my moms journey in her life.
Primary Health Partners - Oceanside Tara Short: Dont bother if you are sick. I saw Dr. Heifetz for many years. It was usually for well checks, but recently I got really sick. I was so sick that I went to the ER. Last time I went to the ER was 13 years ago when I was in heart failure. I had an upper respiratory infection but I was pretty sure I had a sinus infection also at that point and needed antibiotics. I was severely dizzy and feeling terrible. The ER said if I didnt feel better to follow-up with my pcp in a few days. Well, a few days later I called my doctor first thing Friday morning. The front desk tells me they will pass a long the message. Hours go by, and I havent heard anything, so I call again. This time they tell me it can take 3 business days for Dr. Heifetz to get back to me. This shocked me and I even asked "for someone who is sick?" Keep in mind I had already told them how I had just been in the ER and was feeling miserable. I told them I was willing to see anyone and was hoping to see a doctor before the weekend. They basically told me to go to Urgent care, which is what I did and was put on antibiotics for a sinus infection. While at urgent care, I did get a voicemail from Dr. Heifetz that was very dismissive saying how colds can last awhile and basically to just give it time. Keep in mind, she had not seen me or talked to me at this point, and I have had plenty of colds in my life and knew this was something more. This office has no sympathy and no triage capabilities. I was sick for 2 months and tried to reach my pcp, only to be offered an appointment a week out, which is a ridiculous time to wait when you are sick and in pain, so I didnt take it and instead I set up appointments with an ENT, cardiologist, and a family friend doctor on my own. A few weeks later I ended up in the ER again with severe stomach pain and again called Dr. Heifetz office to see if they could get me in sooner. Even the ER nurse had told me to be persistent and make sure they know to see you ASAP. I received a call back the following Monday to let me know that Dr. Heifetz couldnt squeeze me in on Friday ( yes, the Friday that had already passed), and was again told if I was still in pain to go to urgent care. I explained to her that I had already been in the ER and urgent care wouldnt be able to do anything more. The ER had recommended seeing a GI doctor. I tried to schedule it on my own, but they needed a referral from my pcp. I felt so frustrated and helpless at this point. What is the point of having a pcp if they cant see you when you actually have a problem? I have already found a new pcp. I am appalled with this office. I work in Healthcare too, and this is just unacceptable.
James Italiano, MD - Oceanside Fabi Blair: He made me feel extremely uncomfortable every time, I never want to see him again. Heās awkward and weird, thatās how I would describe him.Heās the reason why I donāt like male doctors anymore nor trust them because of him, he even made my husband uncomfortable.
Stewart Wilkey, D.O., M.P.H. - Oceanside April Dahn: I originally found Dr. Wilkey for my son thinking I was going out of country. When my plans changed I switched immediately based on my sonās recommendation. He is the best doctor we have ever had. He provides the highest quality medicine, listens, and truly cares. Not to mention he ensures I am on top of my preventive care which no doctor has ever done for me before. When I come in he always asks how my son is doing. My sonās girlfriend now sees Dr. Wilkey as well. I truly feel blessed our family has found this doctor.
