Alisha Ziadeh: While I appreciate everything this office does, they are not really good with follow through. I waited a month for important test results and called them once a week while they continued saying the doctor hasnt signed off on them yet. Now I need a follow up ultrasound appointment and every time I call the medical assistant is not in the office, Ive been trying for 2 weeks just to get in touch with someone to be able to schedule it when they were supposed to be the ones to call me.

Pamela Hamilton: Both my husband and myself have been patients at Westland House. Not only is the facility beautiful, but the nurses, assistants, PT, OT and RT staff are all amazing. Who else is amazing, is the chef! The meals are wonderful and work well to address your food likes and dislikes. Great variety. Breakfast, main meal of the day is lunch, then soup and salad, or soup and sandwich for dinner, sometimes just a wonderful spinach salad or chefs salad...loved it and changed the way we now eat at home. Five star all the way!

Sasha Curiel: I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Hwang for a herniated disc, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. She took the time to listen to my concerns, conducted a thorough medical history, and explained everything about my condition in a way that was easy to understand. Her attention to detail and thoughtful questions made me feel truly heard. Dr. Hwang was not only professional but also incredibly respectful and compassionate—qualities that I deeply appreciate, especially after previously seeing Dr. Victor Lee, whose cold demeanor and lack of empathy left me feeling unheard. I highly recommend Dr. Hwang to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, patient-centered physician who genuinely cares about her patients’ well-being.
Dr. Gerard S. Issvoran, DO - Monterey
John Bruestle: Showed up for my first visit after waiting a month to see him. I gave the office staff my Blue Shield card and, my Medi-cal card as a second provider. I have Medi-cal because I was unemployed during Covid because I lost my job. I sat down to fill out new patient forms and the front desk person went into the back and to check something. She returned with the office manager and she informed me that they cannot take me as a new patient because I have Medi-cal. I have Blue Shield PPO and my Medi-cal is still active so I use it as a secondary. I explained that my Blue Shield insurance gets billed and not Medi-cal. I called my insurance groups customer service phone number to check their information and they are completely wrong on their information about Medi-cal and billing and I felt very demeaned and degraded. Dr. Issvorans employees made me feel very sub-standard and it gave me a preview of what was to come from the rest of his staff and his practice.

Dora Lott: I struggled to decide between 4 and 5 stars because I had a really long wait due to only one provider being available. I decided on 5 because every staff member made it as easy as possible. I was able to go home and wait rather than stay in the waiting room, and received a call when my time was approaching. In my experience, clinics aren’t organized enough to allow for that. All the desk staff and people on the phone were super nice, as well as the doctor and nurses!

Karen Wiskoff: Living here maintains our independence but with the comforting knowledge that we already have made our most important end-of-life decisions. So we can just relax and enjoy this well-planned community, its smartly designed living units, its absolutely gorgeous location, and its nearly perfect weather. Dont believe anyone who tells you its hard to make friends when youre older. Thats not true at the Manor. As a resident during the last four years, I have become involved in more activities than I ever thought possible. I am neither a "joiner" nor a glutton for work, but the activities Ive chosen here have given me opportunities to be creative and to "shine" in ways I thought I had left behind when I retired 24 years ago. Resident committees--and the activities under their jurisdictions--are the lifeblood of our CVM community; however much or little you participate and contribute, it is essential and always appreciated.
Dr. Eun-Jung Park, MD - Monterey
    Dr. Eun-Jung Park, MD
Chris Heffner: Dr. Park and her staff are outstanding. In fact, I would say without a doubt that Dr. Park is the best doctor I have ever had. She is very thorough and extremely kind and polite. She has helped improve my overall health and done so in a very enjoyable and easy to follow manner...always takes the time to explain things very clearly.

Calla Boo: I had requested images for studies from medical records who told me to go to mychart. Then I called the Diagnostic Imaging department who said I can request it through Medical records or go to Marina since we live close to Marina. I went as suggested and the people there just did not seem to want me to request images from them and did not make me feel welcome. I had to go twice since my doctor also wanted a images from a different modality. Inside of sending me through hoops and hurdles if the Medical Records department would have just said they would take care of it, it would have been better. Instead I felt I was given the run around and then felt even worse requesting my own records.

Jaia Lin: The Doctors are great but LORDY scheduling is getting ridiculous! I was just trying to book my kids well-child visits and was told that I have to follow MPPG on social media to find out when they’re releasing my doctors new schedule 6 months out!!! OR if I’m not on social media I have to call them every day the next couple of weeks to find out when the schedule opens 6 months out because they don’t know until that day. Plus often when I call you’re on hold 40 minutes! As if parents have that kind of time! Please MPPG, make scheduling easy for us like all other pediatricians I’ve ever seen before and just let us call and schedule an appointment for our doctor’s next available date!
