I’ve had a lot of trouble finding stylists over the years who can cut my hair without turning me into a triangle head (flat on top with too much hair and friz at the bottom layers). He does a remarkable job every time, perfect length layers and no thinning tools required! He’s a wonderful person too, the conversation is genuine and he adores my daughter. It’s a great experience with great prices. I highly highly recommend!

5 /5 Jazz Gonzalez: If your looking to fix any color or just trying to get a new look definitely come here and ask for BJ. He did an amazing !!! Job after I fried my hair with bleach sessions during Covid to get it pink. I had to have natural hair color going back to work and with minimal chemicals he was able to cover up the mess I made with my hair. He was patient, extremely kind, definitely coming back for years to come!

5 /5 Rebekah Garcia: Absolutely amazing. I barely told BJ what I wanted, basically just a trim and add a few layers, and he knew exactly how to handle my hair. He noticed immediately that I had too long of layers on top so my hair was weighed down leaving me when that triangle effect (straight and flat on top of my head then boom volume and curls surrounding my shoulders.) He shortened my top layers and just trimmed my split ends off the bottom layers. My hair looks incredible!! I now have a balanced look with volume and curls all over instead of just surrounding my shoulders. BJ was extremely precise, he took his time and made sure not a hair on my head was out of place. He also was very kind and genuine, we talked about kids and life the whole time. I will always go to BJ as long as Im in San Diego, I highly highly recommend him!! Great experience, great staff, great prices, great haircut!

Originally, I had only booked a hair painting appointment with Allie because I had planned to get a cut at a different salon. However, to keep things consistent and because I wanted to try it out, I decided to book the next available appointment for the cut, before the color. While Allie didn’t have time slots available to do both services the same day, I was able to snag an appointment the week earlier with Olive for the cut. All I can say is WOW! Olive is so down to earth, she took the time to listen to what I wanted and she delivered! Never have I had such an amazing haircut (and I’ve had curly dry cuts before). I asked for layers and I got LAYERZZZ! I admire the close attention to detail and how intentional every snip is. Allie is also amazing! So sweet, welcoming, and passionate about curls. I couldn’t feel more comfortable as a new client. It was so easy working together to bring the look I wanted to life and I appreciate how she took the time to answer all my coloring questions. I also love that she took all the steps necessary to make sure I was shielded from any product accidentally landing where it shouldn’t. After gently applying products and drying my hair I was amazed to see the final results turned out exactly how I would style at home which tells me she really understood what my curls wanted. It also helps that the color is gorgeous! I feel bad that I can’t stick to one stylist but I’ve been spoiled by both of these amazing women and I won’t look back! Just goes to show how talented the amazing team at curlcraft is. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Kylie Hastings: Uyen was amazing!!! I am obsessed with my hair! She worked so hard on my hair and took her time with the layers. I was nervous to go lighter and Uyen made me feel so much better about it and copied my reference photo beautifully. She did my money pieces perfectly, something I’ve never done before and will be coming back to get done again! Uygen made the hair coloring fly by with her amazing hospitality and conversation. I will definitely be coming back! You’re missing out if you don’t come get your highlights by Uygen.

I came to her for Extensions and right away she was KIND, CARING, knowing I didnt feel "Good about myslef" I have very thin hair(Genetics, stress exc..) I always learn something new about styling my hair from her. The salon is open and friendly. Parking is street, so remember to bring a little extra for that. I had no trouble finding a spot.
