Lynch Canyon Open Space - Fairfield (CA)

4 /5 Kaylie Sagara: Great spring hike! I imagine it would be pretty brutal during the summer though, almost no shade and no where to refill your water. Decent amount of parking spots, don’t forget to bring $5 cash. The tower trail or middle valley make a loop with the Ken Poerner trail, some parts can be steep and the trail isn’t well marked on Ken Poerner, but beautiful peaceful views! Lots of cute cows too.

1 /5 Max Hanson: Beautiful when it’s green but the ranger is lame just go to Newell Open space on the other side it’s free and you can still walk to lynch canyon

1 /5 Mayra Rodriguez: Very nice place to hike, but I made a big mistake. I didnt notice that there is a fee for parking. I got a ticket for $60. I asked the ranger, whose name is Samuel, if I could explain that I didnt see the sign, but she didnt care. I even offered to pay the $6 fee, but she still didnt care. She is not a reasonable person. It seems to me that she is hunting for people who dont pay the fee.

4 /5 Joe Johnson: Nice hike. At the top of tower trail (I think that’s the name) you can see San Francisco! It connects to the Newell open space park in American canyon. Lots of cows. Green rolling hills in the winter. Don’t think I’d go in the summer as there’s little shade. The lady watching the parking lot is strict and not very friendly
