5 /5 Caroline Corner: Great nails, great price, great service. Always accommodating of my changing color requests. My pedicurist is amazing but it is hard enough to book her that I’m not sharing her name! (All of them are good though!)

1 /5 Tess Murphy: Whatever you do, don’t get a gift certificate at Lux nails. I got a gel mani pedi gift certificate for my friend who goes there all the time. The woman filling out the form seemed to be confused, because it took 20 minutes for me to leave with the certificate. Fast forward 5 months my friend tries to use the certificate. The owner Be says the certificate isn’t valid because it wasn’t filled in properly, or something like that. My friend told me, so visit the shop because I assume it was just a misunderstanding. No. I explained to Be that her employee filled it out incorrectly, and showed her the certificate and envelope with her logo on it. She said she is the only one who can do certificates, she doesn’t remember this one, and then had the nerve to suggest I had forged the certificate. I showed her my bank account from the day, showing the exact amount of the certificate was charged to my account. She said I probably got my nails done that day. So I wasted $93 and got nothing, no apology, and certainly no refund or new certificate. I am a hard person to really upset and I only like writing reviews to support local businesses, but this was too much.

5 /5 D B: Very kind and welcoming staff, very detail oriented, I find a lot of places skip or skimp on the prep work but my nail tech did amazing both on the prep and application. My nails turned out great even with a design and it was reasonably priced, definitely a new go to spot

1 /5 AmyBeth: I went there last Friday and got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The service was great-that is why they got one star. But the gel started to peel off on Sunday-the third day of wear and second day of my Hawaiian trip! By Tuesday two more were off. Now, on Friday, one week later, and 5 are peeled, partially peeled off. Such a disappointment after paying $68 plus $10 tip per technician! I was hoping for nice nails, not embarrassing ones! Update August 2022: this place ruined my nails! It has been a few months since my horrible mani/pedi. The woman who did my toes made the mail disconnect from the skin on three different nails. I have never had this issue before coming to this shop. Both my pinky toe and big toe separated from the skin and I have had to wait for them to grow out, completely! So this shop ruined my vacation nails and my nails all summer!
