1 /5 Lydia V: Worst ER experience. Last night I went to the ER for constant vomiting of bile and not being able to hold anything down. I walked in and literally had a bucket in my hands in case I was to vomit again. I was feeling very weak, and the check in nurse was rude. I sat down to get my blood pressure taken, and I began to get emotional due to the severe stomach pain I had. She asked “are you just crying because of the vomiting?” I disregarded this and sat in the waiting area. I then got moved to a room within the ER. Mind you my spouse was with me. This portion was okay, the ER doctor was adamant that I had a viral infection. At this point I was told I would be taken to the back area of the ER to be given fluids, and that my spouse could not go with me. This has only been an issue at this hospital and the one on Santa Teresa. I asked if I were to wait in the waiting area if I could get fluids there as I was feeling dizzy. They said I would not receive treatment. My spouse ended up waiting outside in his vehicle during the duration of me receiving fluids. When I was in the back area I heard some of the nurses discussing a child that had been screaming in the ER that was potentially on the spectrum. They seemed to be judging his behavior and the parent for not correcting their child’s behavior. One of them even saying that they would punish their future children for any unruly behavior. Also because I was carrying a bucket/vomit bags. It appeared as if many staff members were laughing at me. Clearly there is no empathy here. I work in customer service, and I would be in trouble for displaying any of this behavior while at work. The ER is definitely not the place to be laughing at patients, and having a horrible attitude. I get it working in a hospital/ER would be very difficult and there are ways of coping such as making jokes. But maybe one shouldn’t make those jokes in earshot of other patients. The nurse I had that administered my fluids was sweet and caring. I had to ask the doctor to prescribe me medicine for the vomiting or I wouldn’t have received any form of medication. This morning I still felt sick, and still was vomiting. Overall I don’t think that this review will make any changes, but I wanted people to be aware. I will consider changing my insurance after this and many other negative experiences.

5 /5 Анжелика: I was scheduled for labor induction. At the target day, initially I didn’t get the call, so had to call to labor & deliver few time during the day. Every time they promised to call back, but actually they didn’t. By the evening I realized that they probably have some issue reaching out me by my phone number. When I changed contact information, I finally got the call, but it was already too late. The proposed to come around 10pm for induction. Eventually I came to the labor&delivery next day. Since that moment the whole exposition was amazing. Nurses are very supportive and knowledgeable. It looks like they are not just ready, but want to help you. They truly try to make your stay comfortable and less stressful, and they did. My labor went extremely quickly at some point, and once emergency button was pressed, 5-8 nurses and doctors run in the room within few seconds. Just in time to catch the baby. They all worked very harmoniously, as a single organism. I was amazed by such team work. They evaluated the situation and acted within seconds. Big thank you to all personnel! You’re doing the great job!

5 /5 Hanane Smail: My first experience was wonderful five years ago when I gave birth to my daughter. The medical staff was wonderful and took care of me before and after the birth until the last minute I left the hospital. Next week will be my second birth date and I am very comfortable and I will tell you about my experience after I finish, but I am confident that I will be among a wonderful medical team.

1 /5 John Fonseca: Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. Emergency/Urgent care check in staff hand out attitudes like free candy. Took my mom due to a sharp pain in her chest with loss of breathing Thursday night , the first person who checked us in was courteous and actually took care of us but the lady next to him was arguing with a lady who was upset with the way they lacked on helping patients who were there for hours and wanted to speak with the head nurse in charge and after hearing she wanted to file a complaint all hell broke loose with the staff and when the lady STATED (she did not record she had her phone in her hand) she was going to record how unprofessional the nurse was she immediately yelled for security to call the police to charge her with a felony according to the nurse (there should be another review below from someone else about a women in the lobby went into the ER to complain about how they’re treating patients gets kicked off the premises). The first doctor who attended my mom was courteous and took her blood sample to run test. After they put her back in the waiting until they get the results I was asked to leave the ER due to only patients were allowed, one of the stupidest rules I ever heard especially if the patient that is there is having breathing problems they can’t just get up and walk across the waiting room and I made that clear to the lady in charge of the ER behind the check in nurses and told her I was her interpreter since she doesn’t speak fluent English but I was asked to wait at the lobby while my mom waits in the ER waiting room by herself. 15 minutes later I get a call from my mom to get back inside the ER because she started to have trouble breathing and said she was starting to feel light headed and was going to pass out along with another sharp pain in her chest and when that happened the lady that kicked me out of the ER waiting room happen to walk by after kicking out other visitors to the lobby and my mom was able to get her attention while she had stronger chest pains causing her to lose breathing. Now comes the fun part, they take her back to the check in area and the nurse I do not remember her name but I think it was Rossane or Rosanna M (Filipino lady) I was explaining to her what happened about how she had a hard time breathing in that instant her reply was “no she is not her oxygen level is 100 she can breathe just fine”,I told her she said she was losing consciousness and she replied “no she is not because she is talking right now that is not true”, like really? Then she proceeds to blame my mom saying all that is happening because of how she is breathing. How much of an asshole do you have to be to talk to someone like that and claim my mom was lying about what was happening. The entire interaction I was biting down on my tongue to prevent me from insulting and yelling at that nurse only for the reason I know they were quick to call security and due to the state my mom was in I was worried they would kick both of us out and I would have to rush her to another hospital. I’m filing a complaint with the California Department of Public Health against this hospital and I am going to file another complaint with the State board of Nursing against that Nurse she should not treat people like that especially people who go in for a medical emergency

5 /5 Jillian Lee: My endoscopy procedure was wonderful! Dr. Micheal Ahn was very patient and gentle. He walked me through the whole process. MA Ms. Holmes was super friendly and caring. They made the whole experience as relaxing as possible.
