1 /5 brandon pintor: All the staff here is rude and incompetent. First, i get into the office and everything seems fine. They call me in and the doctor comes in and doesn’t let you explain anything. - he asked like 3 questions, said to avoid food after a certain hour and didn’t answer my questions. He left and said the nurse would be there shortly. Second, nurse came in and she gave me attitude for asking her what the next step was, how much the procedure would be, and where to call. She “explained” some things to me that were related to what i had asked, but she did not answer my question. They both treat you like if you don’t understand what you’re saying. All they care about is money. I do not recommend or plan to come back

1 /5 Tia Mana: If I could give this Dr.’s office zero stars I would!! I decided to give them a chance regardless of the many bad reviews… DON’T!!! They told me because I was a new patient they could not schedule me because their “fax machine was not working” they would call me when it worked. I called back the following day because I didn’t hear from them and the rude receptionist said “I told you we would call you when our fax machine works” it has been 5 days since and no one has called me to schedule my appointment!! I highly doubt a Dr.’s office if it’s that necessary would be without a fax machine for this long! I have since called my insurance, have been referred to another Dr. and Im already scheduled in less than a week just like that!

1 /5 Carlos Diaz: I was referred to Dr. Duque by my primary care physician. When I called his office to schedule an appointment, the receptionist told me that I needed to call my insurance company to get approval first. I was confused by this, as I had never had to do this before with any other doctor. I called my insurance company, and they were confused as well. They told me that it is usually the doctors office that calls them to get approval for appointments. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with my insurance company, I called back Dr. Duques office. They were now closed. I called back the next day at 8:40 AM, and the person who answered the phone asked me to call back later because they had just gotten in and needed time to "turn on their computers." This left me with a bad feeling about Dr. Duques office. I started looking up reviews of the doctor online, and I was disappointed to see that he had very low ratings. I decided to call my PCP and ask for a referral to a different doctor. I am very disappointed with Dr. Duques office. I feel that they were unprofessional and unhelpful. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. The receptionist was either not knowledgeable about the doctors requirements for insurance approval or just flat out too lazy to call my insurance company. Had she called my insurance company, I would probably never even thought to look up his ratings. However, I did look up his ratings and I can confirm that his low ratings online reflect my own experience. I hope that this review will help other patients avoid a similar experience.

1 /5 Glenn Ford: I will not be back... I went there by a referral from my doctor and I hadnt looked at the reviews yet but they are correct. They should feel lucky to get the 1.8 rating. Dr. Duque was terrible & his side kick luz is very difficult to get along with. Be Very strange appointment. The nice Young lady setting up visits + answering the phones running the front of the office is amazing :-)

1 /5 We insure2: This has to be the worst doctor and gastr and office staff in all of Chula Vista. I made my appointment in February as specialists are booked way ahead of time. I am a Medicare patient and have a PPO supplement. The day before the visit they tell me they are cancelling because I didnt have a referral and they even said before when I saw the doctor I was an HMO patient. I have never been on an HMO. Dr. Brozinsky, my regular gastro, a fine gastro just retired and I had seen Dr. Duque once in 2015 and they say that was too long ago. Are you serious? Stay away from this office. Poorly run office and Dr. does not relate to patients and their needs. Calling me after two months the day before an appointment is just not acceptable. Look at all the other reviews and how poorly this office and doctor is rated. Stay away.
