I was referred to Oncology by Ms. Clay for treatment of prostate cancer and needed clearance from PCP to have anesthesia. Ms. Clay was absent so I saw a doctor on call. He was reluctant to give me the go ahead because he said I had a chronic heart problem. I was never told that by anyone else! He said I had had 3 abnormal ekg s already plus the one he did was the 4th making it chronic, The previous ones were at the hospital. I was confused because I always went for follow up with pcp after being discharged from the ER. Alarice wanted to spend the time telling my wife and I all about her new baby boy named Orin. So we got to see how he was doing instead of discussing my ER visit and the findings. Not one word was mentioned about anything wrong on an ekg! I was almost limited on options for cancer treatment!! This was such an obvious oversight! I don’t understand why she’s still able to practice!!
Lake County Tribal Health - Lakeport Donald Gump: This place makes little sense I pulled up there one time and there was 8 cars outside along with an empty lobby. Yet They still wanted to schedule me out months. Also, it takes months to get appointments. hopefully you’re not having major problems that need immediate care.
Sutter Lakeside Hospital - Lakeport David Miller: Going to the hospital is never a "fun" experience, but the people here make the place feel as much like family as one could image. These people are warm and compassionate to patients and to visitors. They do not have the facilities to handle some more complex issue, but it is wonderful to have someone close by when the need ariseses. If they cant deal with the issue, they can quickly get you to a place that can.
Adventist Health Clear Lake - Clearlake Kay Stevens: Everyone has been very professional and helpful with appointments, and providing specialty referrals. Christina, PA is competent, professional, and caring. Arianna, Megan, and Glenna, case manager. are all dedicated to making sure patients are treated appropriately and all are outcome oriented- wanting the best for their patients. Still seeking resolution on some mandated paperwork but I’m encouraged by the assistance given by staff.

According to the staff, the online portal cannot tell which Dr. is available,once you schedule they will cancel,then call and tell you. I was rescheduled,only to be told the Dr. is not available,no explanation. Rescheduled 2 weeks later..As a medical professional, I would never subject our patients to this nonsense. When I asked to speak to a manager,She said sure, it’s her problem.I’ve explained on several occasions the importance of this appointment,as I have relocated and in need of live saving refills. All I get is I understand. SAD

I have very bad anxiety about visiting medical institutions and or hospitals,
But I was surprised at the amount of professionalism and courtesy that I received there.
Everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable and patient.
And was not bothered by my reluctancy to be there.
I felt comfortable and well cared for.
The facility is very busy so I highly recommend that you make an appointment before going there.
Simply to make it easy for yourself.
Because they will try to help anybody as quickly as possible and there are walk-ins all the time.
So making an appointment will make the experience easier for yourself and for them.

You have made me regain trust in medical institutions in lake county and especially in clear lake.
Pediatrics: Adventist Health Clear Lake - Clearlake Amanda Santana: Ive been taking my girls to Dr. Jamie Bhatia for almost 5 years now and have been seen by former Diaz as well as the other pediatricians. It hurts to see how terrible this clinic gets a bad rep but in all honesty, we LOVE the staff and our doctors. Yes the parking lot is horrid and the homeless lurk about as well as come into the clinic when they need help but truly its just like any other doctors office in the waiting room but we have nothing but praise for the staff and clinic. Its always clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and listen to what your concerns are at your appointment. I only give 4 stars due to the absolutely horrible parking lot and the random scary man or women who comes in yelling.
