V3lum II: Its quiet. Its clean. And spacious. Walking trail adjacent. Wish picnic tables had some sort of shade. Otherwise one of the better parks on the area.
Cody Gibson: (Google maps says closed but it was open when I went in March 2025)This is a hidden gem, the trailhead is just past the playground near the Marina. It has viewing platforms, benches, a picnic table area a pond and art made out of stacked wood. The area isnt huge but I got a couple miles worth of steps in walking around exploring it.
Scott G.: Awesome park. Great for those who are limited to seeing the redwoods by car only and can’t hike in. Nice long drive with lots too see. Thin roads but lots of pull over areas to work with the opposite flow of traffic. Took some portraits of my daughter while we were there.
Rebecca Green: Beachfront is a great place to watch the ocean, look for little sand dollars, and watch windsurfing. Great view of the pier and the Battery Point Lighthouse!
Suzanne Beigel: Its hard to describe and a true treasure. I could spend a week exploring it. Not a 5 star because there is some very disturbing history presented without much context or awareness. Its a lot and I can only imagine the impact on a person with Asian or Native American or Black identity. The staff were kind and full of stories about the historic shipwreck. I hope they embrace additional curation to bring more transparency and accountability to this truly special collection.
Dannie Aasted: Pretty spot and can see the lighthouse from here. But the city water /sewer treatment plant is down the street and I could smell it. Also it says you can crab there but the locals have it full all the time. No chance to crab. It is a nice place to get down to a beach. Great playground in the park.
Tammie Rabbitt: Such a beautiful place! The tour is totally worth the small fee. The view from the top was awesome and the guide family was so sweet. I would highly recommend going during low tide any day.
Laura L: Timed, guided tours mean there arent a lot of people pushing in to get a view. While there werent a lot of specimens, it was still a nice little aquarium. The touch tank was one of the better ones Ive been to, even allowing you to pick up anything on a shell. The seal/sea lions shows had humor and gravity defying tricks. Our shark loving daughter was so excited to get to pet the shark!!
