5 /5 Renee Gray: Free! Beautiful gardens, mahogany and teak pagoda, pathways, pergola, fountains and bandstand. Spacious picnic areas and clean bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible throughout. Our docent Jim was well versed in the history and flora. Lovely day in early November. No pets. This is a privately owned garden made possible by the Hogan family. Redwood trees, Cedar, Cypress, Oak, Olive, Ash, Magnolia, and so much more.
5 /5 Amanda Maloney: Was looking for fountains and found this hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. Went on a Thursday, 1 hour before closing. Lovely day and weather to enjoy spring in the themed gardens. Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, and English gardens with flowers, statues, and fountains. The dominant fountain is the Italian Chain Fountain. However, I really enjoyed the Japanese Garden with its koi fish pond and themed lanterns lighting the path. Parking is through the gate, up the driveway and around the back. Little slice of green heaven in TO.
5 /5 Jimbo G: We took our teenage granddaughter here and she loved it as much as we did. We opted for just walking around at our own pace and lingered at the spots which were the most interesting to us. We most liked the English Rise Garden, the Koi in the Japanese Garden and the California Mission Courtyard but the Italian/Roman and the French Gardens were also interesting. It was well worth a visit in late October and we will probably be back again to see it in the Spring.
5 /5 A M: What a lovely set of gardens! Wandered through on a weekday, and enjoyed everything blooming. Docent staff was polite and unobtrusive.
5 /5 Mono Kitai: Such a beautiful well maintained garden. I loved the paintings of all the missions and we were stopped by some of the workers and given a brochure about the park with information on each beautiful area and they gave us some food to feed the koi

Chumash Indian Museum - Thousand Oaks
    Chumash Indian Museum
Carlo N.: The CHUMASH Indian Museum is a small historical museum and a living history center. They are dedicated to restoring and preserving an awareness of the Chumash tribe along with their historical, cultural, material and present day influence. This museum has Chumash artifacts and description of their way of life. Furthermore, they have a replica of Chumash “aps” homes which is a 10 minute walk on an easy trail. Along the path, visitors will find numbered Oak trees and native plants used by the Chumash people. The Chumash are a Native American people of the central and southern coastal regions of California to date there are only 5,000 of them in the country. Visitors can spend less than an hour to see the entire museum. The general museum admission cost $8 bucks. Staff were professional and affable. Free wifi. Free parking lot. Overall, I like learning everything about the Chumash tribe. I recommend this tiny museum if you’re in the area.

Michael Teoli: I was a bit confused when the GPS said I had arrived at my destination when I pulled up to a Gold’s Gym. There was zero signage anywhere. Turns out this is like an outdoor mall and the museum is in one if the storefronts. I know it’s semantics but thus is more of a small art gallery than a museum. They did have some cool stuff though! And I believe the exhibits change often too. I’d be surprised if you spend more than 15-20 minutes here. The woman working there was SUPER friendly and informative! She’s a five star employee for sure. She really went above and beyond and even looked up some things for my son and I to do in the area. Unless you know of a specific show you’d want to see, I don’t know if I’d make the trip just for the museum. But if you’re in the neighborhood or better yet, doing something else in the shopping center, for sure stop in and check it out!
