1 /5 Ana DT: I was a patient from 2022-2023. For the past year, Ive been unable to eat on the left side of my mouth due to an over-drilled filling. Additionally, every appointment felt rushed and disorganized, and my wishes were blatantly ignored. I highly recommend going somewhere else.
Filling Issue
In December I was told to return for a filling. Upon returning in the summer, I was told I needed a new set of xrays and that that was all they had time to do. I had to fight to have my cleaning/filling as scheduled. The woman assisting me seemed irritated, and after an extremely painful "cleaning", she drilled my tooth down to nearly nothing. The entire filling process couldnt have been more than 15 minutes. I was left with extreme sensitivity and sharp edges that cut my tongue. I returned a few weeks later and the male dentist filed down the filling material and smoothed the edges. He told me it may take a couple of months for my tooth to adapt to the filling. Its been a year and I still experience pain with any physical contact.
Cleaning Issue
At my first appointment, the male dentist told me a regular cleaning would be insufficient and I needed a deep cleaning/scaling. There was no discussion, and I felt trapped between having the deep cleaning or leaving without treatment. At the second appointment, I told multiple people that I wanted a regular cleaning. Despite this, the aforementioned woman ignored my request and went in with the scaler for approximately 5-10 minutes. After this appointment, I did my research, and discovered deep cleanings are recommended for people with warning signs of gum disease, signs I dont have. Moreover, the procedure is supposed to take 30+ minutes and involves numbing the gums first. In other words, its a procedure, not a substitute for a cleaning.
Between the long wait times, rushed appointments, and the push for deep cleaning, I cant help but think that filing claims comes before patients here.
