I have found them to be very trustworthy and honest which is such a RELIEF for me. I so appreciate their direct and honest approach every time I visit. Such a comfortable experience and I SINCERELY appreciate that! I had a heck of a situation with my car that was unique. Gary and Jeff were the only ones who took care of the issues and made me feel like my issues mattered. They got the 2 jobs done, warranty work from another shop’s work, and gave me professional service and support. HIGHLY recommend.

5 /5 Nicole Nomura: I have been taking my 2010 Mazda 6 to Fisher Martin since I got it around 2016/17. My dad was the one who told me to go here because he trusts them and had been going to them for years. At some point I drove my car across the country and lived out of state for 4 years and then moved back. Of course I came straight back to Fisher Martin for regular servicing and repairs. Thanks to their care and service (and knowing how to maintain my car), Ive never had issues with my Mazda (started at 52k, now at 193k). Gary and Jeff are great and it has been a pleasure to see them over the years.

Jheydee Osano: I was in search for a mobile mechanic to swap out my alternator so I searched on google for mobile mechanics in the Oxnard area. The first mechanic I reached was so pushy and was trying to book me an appointment the following morning. But I wanted to see what other options and quotes I could get. I don’t know I didn’t get a good impression. So I kept searching and came across Mike Kay mobile mechanic and seen all his 5 star reviews. I gave him a call and left a voicemail. He called me back in about 10-15 minutes. Right out of the gate he was so energetic and professional because the way he talked on the phone, I can tell this was a mechanic who knew what he was doing. He offered his labor and new alternator and he gave me a super good deal compared to the 1st mechanic I called. Mike came through the next day to my house, he was explaining everything he doing to my vehicle. He was able to swap out my alternator super quick and was able to get me back running in time for work. Mike is very understanding and very knowledgeable. He is a true professional and really does care about helping people and not trying to rip you off. I highly recommend him as a mechanic. Seriously don’t hesitate to call him! Thank you so much Mike, I really appreciate your honesty and hard work!

Rynn21: There used to be really honest and hard work done here. Over the last 8 years or so, the quality of the work has gone downhill. Before relatives moved, they had work done for their road trip. Whoever was hired did a shoddy job and my family had to fix the problem where they moved. The owner of C.A.R. was informed. My husband and I started to go to him and we liked his honesty. However, it became clear he was overwhelmed with the work load, especially at his age. It would take days for him to fix our vehicle, and whoever he did hire didnt do a good job. This meant he often worked alone or with only one other guy. Queue to the last 3 years and any time we tried to get work done, the business looked closed. I tried calling. No answer. Then suddenly, the shop is back open. Ok. Great. Not so great. Just as quickly, the shop kept looking closed. Every once in awhile while doing errands, I swear the shop is open. Yet, no one answers the phone. Its very bizarre. Many have reported it closed, including myself, before I noticed the short periods of time where the business appears to be open. Its just not worth it. Weve been going elsewhere. We are limited on where we can go since we only have one vehicle, so walking distance is a must. Right now its Pep Boys for oil changes, and Motion Tire II for the rest (GREAT owner).

John Jorgensen: Car overheated pulling into work. Called these guys expecting I’d need a tow but they actually showed up same day, found a blown upper radiator hose, had the part with them, swapped it, filled coolant, ran it to check for leaks. I was able to drive home that night without issues.

I was having issues with my car but was on a budget, and while they are a little on the pricey side, the thorough job they do and the detailed inspection made it worth it. They let me know what needed to be done right away and what could wait a little while, even printed me a list that was put in priority order of what needed to be done. Highly recommend
